Intel 13th-Gen Raptor Lake is Reportedly Coming With Rumored 5.8GHz Boost

Intel's upcoming 13th-generation Raptor Lake CPUs are reportedly arriving in late 2022, according to the latest report. The newest set of processors will boast more cores and even an impressive 5.8GHz clock improvement.

If this will debut in October, this could be a very competitive gaming processor to be released along with AMD's Zen 4 Ryzen 7000.

The battle for the best gaming GPUs is becoming tighter since many competitors are slowly entering the chip market. Indeed, it's not questionable whether the two industry-dominant brands remain the same: Intel and AMD.

Intel has been releasing powerful CPUs over the past years, but nothing comes close to the Alder Lake series. With each launch, AMD has an answer for that.

According to a report by Tom's Hardware, Intel's 13th-gen Raptor Lake could be the newest lineup for the processors. The said computer hardware will be coming with lower power consumption and an improved clock rate.

Moreover, the CPU will have DDR5 and PCIe 5.0 support. To further improve the connectivity, the company is expected to roll out the 700-series motherboards.

As a matter of fact, many people expect that Raptor Lake will crazily be a top hit this year.

Intel 13th-Gen Raptor Lake Features

As of writing, the upcoming CPU operates under the "Raptor Lake" codename. It is reportedly debuting with 32 threads and 24 cores, so these alone justify how powerful it is upon its launch.

Interestingly, another thing that could easily pique users' interest is that it would sport a 5.8GHz boost. That's a lot of improvement compared to the previous models.

Furthermore, it will feature 65W to 125W TDP for desktops. This also scales to mobile. Moving forward, it will allegedly bring up to a double-digit performance boost, as well, according to the report.

Raptor Cove, which is a rumored microarchitecture that the Raptor Lake processors will use, is another feature that fans should look forward to.

With a powerful set of Performance Coves, it's no wonder that multitasking will be a piece of cake for these CPUs. You can simultaneously use both windows regardless if you are playing games or doing your Microsoft documents.

Speaking of its launch date, we could assume that it will be coming in Q4 2022. This means that there's a possibility that it will be released in late October if the plan goes well for the company.

Of course, its official release date is still subject to change so let's wait for Intel to announce more information about it soon.
