Twitter might soon allow users to post a tweet for a few people. The limited visibility is good for those who want to value their privacy with their close friends and colleagues.

The social media platform has rolled out a limited test for "Twitter Circle," which is useful if you want to share your posts to a restricted number of viewers.

Twitter Circle is for people who want to share their tweets with a small number of people.

As Mashable reported on Thursday, July 7, the upcoming feature will let a user restrict his/her tweet sharing to a select number of audiences.

The microblogging site explains that some tweets are for the majority to see. However, that is not always the case since some people want to restrict their tweets to the people they picked.

With that being said, the popular social media app is now experimenting with "Twitter Circle," which is capable of adding up to 150 users to your circle. This feature is a go-to option for those who want to say something within a "smaller crowd."

As of writing, only a limited number of people can use Twitter Circle, the company spokesperson says.

Restrictions of Twitter Circle

Of course, like any other Twitter features released in the past, Twitter Circle has some restrictions that the user needs to know before using it.

According to the Twitter Circle FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions), those people who are included in your "circle" have no power to utilize the Retweet icon on the platform. This means that he/she cannot share their posts all over Twitter while under the Twitter Circle.

"Please remember that your Twitter Circle members can still download, capture and / or re-share images or screenshots of your Twitter Circle content," the Help Center reads.

Long before Twitter Circle arrives, the platform has been experimenting with other features, including the Supper Follows. This particular option allows the users to access premium perks or exclusive content.

Back in September 2021, Twitter also began a beta test for Communities which binds people with similar interests or search topics.

How to Create a Twitter Circle

According to PCMag, you can start creating your own private circle by first tweeting out content. Once you're finished, you will notice the Everyone button beside your profile icon.

You can begin selecting the participants in your circle by accessing the Choose Audience menu. Then, make sure to click the Edit button on the left side of the Twitter Circle option.

After that, head to the new window and open the Recommended tab. As you can see, you can now browse over the list of people you want to include in the Circle. You can accomplish this by tapping Add beside their name.

Don't forget that only 150 people can be added temporarily to the Circle. It should be noted that if you remove a member from the group, they won't be notified on the platform.

Always check if your tweets are protected so no strangers can take a peek in your Circle.
