BioLite is bringing another product for a power outage. From creating pocket-size chargers used in cooking and camping, the New York-based company is now adding the newest portable power stations to its lineup, together with a solar panel.

If you are experiencing frequent brownouts in your area, these new technologies could be the solution that you're looking for.

BioLite presents its newest set of portable power stations that will help you deal with unexpected power outages in your area.

According to a report by Engadget on Monday, Aug. 1, BioLite has officially revealed BaseCharge 1500 and BaseCharge 600 portable power stations. The firm also announced that they would be coming with a SolarPanel 100, as well.

For those who are easily annoyed with an electrical outage, you can now power up your devices without electricity. As such, you can now continuously use your appliances and other equipment in your house.

Interestingly, the portable power stations feature their battery life status, so you would know the remaining power left in them. You can also take advantage of temperature alerts, power metrics, and system notifications.

It should be noted that you should take note of their cumulative usage over time. There's also a need to fill them up every six months so they would be easily accessible at times of emergency.

BioLite's power stations are well-protected thanks to a hard plastic shell. At the bottom, rubber feet safeguard smart home devices.

Additionally, since they are heavy to carry, they have special inset areas which will help you lessen the load. However, it's important to protect them from harsh weather conditions since they don't have a weather-protection feature in the first place.

BioLite BaseCharge 600

One of the most affordable devices that you can purchase soon is the BaseCharge 600 power station. It will cost you $699, but it's already enough to power up your devices for a while.

It sports a 622 Wh Li-ion battery. On top of that, it has three types of inputs that you can use, including the USB-C PD input, solar charger input, and combo wall.

For the outputs, you can choose from the ten choices below.

  • 12V car port (aka cigarette lighter port - 120W)
  • two USB-A (5V)
  • USB-C (5V)
  • USB-C PD (5V / 100W)
  • two 110V AC (600W up to 1,000W surge)
  • Wireless charging for Qi and related devices on the top platform (10W)
  • two 12V DC barrel ports (120W)

BioLite BaseCharge 1500

If you have the budget for a better power station, then BioLite's BaseCharge 1500 could be your best choice. At $1,699, it has more capacity compared to the BaseCharge 600 model.

It's quite heavier since it weighs 26.5 pounds, while the smaller portable power station only weighs 13 pounds. This model has a similar number of inputs, just like the previously-mentioned product.

However, its selling point is its 12 outputs that you can see below:

Wireless charging for Qi and related devices on the top platform (10W)

  • 12V car port (aka cigarette lighter port - 120W)
  • USB-C PD (5V / 100W)
  • two USB-A (5V)
  • two USB-C (5V)
  • two 12V DC barrel ports (120W)
  • three 110V AC (1,200W up to 2,400W surge)

Of course, BioLite could also allow you to transform your power station into a foldable solar panel. For just $400, the efficiency is in your hands with SolarPanel 100.

Even if it's raining, it's completely usable, thanks to its IPX4 panels. You can also use a zipper pouch for your cables.

As of writing, you can now sign up on the official website of BioLite here. Pre-orders will begin on Sept. 17. Stay tuned for more information.

In the meantime, you can check NoteBookCheck's report about Bluetti AC500 and the B300S System. This is another great alternative if you're searching for a good power station at home.
