SAN ANSELMO, CALIFORNIA - NOVEMBER 01: In this photo illustration, the Tik Tok app is displayed on an Apple iPhone on November 01, 2019 in San Anselmo, California.

The old format was when users tapped the share button on their stories, the only option is to share their stories with their friends in the app. Now, the same interface provided more options in a new row by adding the 'copy link button', and the ability to share on Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, and Instagram Stories.

This new feature could be an advantage for creators who often post to the platform to connect with their followers regarding their content outside TikTok.

Given that TikTok stories are still not a fully launched feature of the application, this may or may not roll out on their official launch, or adding more detail that may improve the whole feature where users can enjoy and utilize it perfectly.

TikTok stories started their global testing last August 2021, the same month Twitter removed their similar feature called Fleets. This was added to give the users more options for storytelling tools such as videos, Duets, Stitch, and LIVE as per the company.

Downranking Tiktok Videos

This new sharing way feature might give TikTok visibility to other platforms, such as Meta's two social media sites, after Instagram's new algorithm affected them regarding the work on downranking their videos, as reported by Endgadget.

Although it will not be deleted, videos that have been posted on Instagram Reels with TikTok watermarks will not be prioritized to promote in the feed of the users. As per Meta, original content that has been made for their own applications will be prioritized.

New Filters

TikTok introduced a new filter that generates Text-to-Image AI. Through this, a picture that you might haven't seen yet will appear after you type phrases, words, or dates that are very important to you. Users enjoyed these images as they showed photorealism and ambiguity.

To use the filter, search on the filter search bar, the "AI Green Screen," and type the word or phrase to begin generating the photos that you want to see.

Last March, Tiktok expanded its features by appearing their stories on the For You page. Users can also like and comment on a certain story, just like any other Tiktok video that has been posted. The only difference from this is that it will only last for 24 hours.

These added features can be presented as the company's edges since their competitors still do not have these. A Tiktok spokesperson said to TechCrunch that "Currently, we're expanding a pilot test, which provides creators with additional formats to bring their creative ideas to life for the TikTok community."
