In addition to the new phone verification system that "Roblox" recently implemented, the online game is on its way to only featuring verified creators in the "Roblox" Creator Marketplace.

Players can use the resources available in the Creator Marketplace to build the "Roblox" experience they want. These resources include models, decals, audio, videos, meshes, and plugins.

Also, most items available in the marketplace are made by "Roblox" players and fans. It is worth noting, though, that items obtained from the Creator Marketplace still cannot be worn by "Roblox" avatars.

Anyone can access and browse the Creator Marketplace. In addition, it is surprisingly easy to create and submit a customized item to the "Roblox" listings. This might be the primary reason why the game is now implementing additional safety features. It is a smart move by the sandbox game to look at potential loopholes in their verification systems.

A report from PCGames tells us that the "Roblox" Creator Marketplace will default to prioritize showing content from verified Roblox creators. This follows measures done by Roblox to ensure user protection and safety in the massive online platform.

'Roblox' Devs Revamps Account Verification System

A recent "Roblox" Developer Forum post entails that the Creator Marketplace team is geared toward exploring more options to uphold trust and safety in the game. According to the "Roblox" Marketplace team, they will implement changes to the game's ID verification system.

Before the update, marketplace creators could verify their accounts via ID upload. Recently implemented changes will now task "Roblox" asset creators to use either phone verification or ID verification.

The Marketplace team mentioned that these changes were put in place because some creators were reportedly unable to verify their accounts with an ID. Similar to ID verification, phone verification will enable increased marketplace contribution as well as upload limitations. This is according to a post update from Aug. 26.

'Roblox' Creator Marketplace Defaults to Only Feature Verified Creators

Back in Dec. 2021, Roblox reworked its search and ranking algorithms to better feature original assets that are potentially more helpful to developers. This search optimization scheme by "Roblox" is geared to let users find more relevant results when taking a look at the marketplace.

Contents from verified "Roblox" creators will now be easily spotted in the Creator Marketplace. Developers say that these timely modifications will help the game improve its safety and accountability for all Marketplace users and creators.

Roblox developers add that content from unverified accounts can still be accessed in the marketplace if users turn off the option barring unverified creators from appearing in the Marketplace. The developers do not recommend this option as "this option is more likely to expose you to potentially harmful assets."

This new safety feature will not guarantee that users will not be any more exposed to dangerous content. Heightening security features will make sure that banned accounts can not return to the creator studio using the same phone number or identification.
