The Meta Quest VR headsets are VR systems with amazing features to make your gaming experience even better. To try these cool features, here's what you need to do.

Meta Quest VR Mixed Reality

The Meta Quest VR have cameras on the outside that are meant for environmental tracking. It can also be used for Mixed Reality applications, according to HowtoGreek.

Depending on the app, you can bring real-world objects into virtual reality. Meta Quest VR allows you to see your real-world couch in VR, and pair and track a limited number of keyboard models.

Passthrough Mode

The Quest VR headset do not have a strap system with a flip-up mechanism. It is portable but it is not great when you need to leave VR to do something else.

Luckily, Meta has a Passthrough mode that you can quickly switch to using your Quest VR headset by double-tapping the side of the headset.

This will show you the world via the exterior cameras. You will need to enable the double-tap feature first since it is not on by default.

Hand Tracking Feature

Quest VR has a touch controller, but you can discontinue using them and just use your bare hands to navigate the Quest UI and play a couple of games, according to XRToday.

After you've enabled hand-tracking you will find that a lot of apps, like video streaming and web browsers, are more comfortable to use if you do not have to fumble for a controller.

There are also great games that are built around the feature, offering a different type of VR immersion.

PC VR Experience

What makes Meta Quest VR different from the other VR headsets is that it has a self-combined system with its own software that allows you to connect it to your PC for gaming.

The feature is called Link, and using it is as easy as installing the Quest software on your PC and then connecting the Meta Quest using a USB-C cable or wirelessly over Wi-Fi.

High Refresh Rates

A fast refresh rate can also make a massive difference to the VR experience, but by default, the Quest 2 is locked to 90Hz. It gives you the sense of immersion, but the actual display panel in the headset can go faster.

You can also enable 120Hz mode under the Meta Quest's Experimental Features section under Settings.

Although this will affect your battery life, there are a few Quest games that use this refresh rate. If you are using your Quest for PC VR with a USB-C cable, the battery life issues do not apply.

Keyboard and Controller Support for Meta

The Quest headsets could be paired with some Bluetooth keyboards, but you can also pair a gamepad to your Quest headset, which will work with certain apps and games.

For example, you can use a controller with Virtual Desktop or Tetris Effect.

Fitness Tracking Feature

There are a lot of fitness apps on Quest, and the VR headset is a great way to stay active even when you are not playing any game, according to VRScout.

It has an Oculus Move that will track how much exercise you are getting while in VR.
