A new round of funding has been announced by Roblox for the creators of its cutting-edge games. The game's creator fund, called the Game Fund, was first introduced by the company last summer, and it was first funded with $25 million for its upcoming video games.
Roblox will now allocate an additional $10 million to a chosen group of projects that it feels best to represent the platform as a whole, as reported first by TechCrunch.
Although that sum of money represents a drop in the ocean for a business with an estimated value of $25 billion, the investment indicates Roblox's future.

The Game Fund
Even though there aren't many of these awards given out to developers, each one receives a minimum of $500,000, which is enough to pay for some high-end experiences on the popular game.
It is worth noting that individual users have developed several Roblox games. However, a majority of them were still produced by professional gaming studios and will likely be granted large budgets.
Roblox views its cohort of Game Fund experiences as the platform's future and actively seeks developers to push the boundaries of what is technologically feasible in the game.
Roblox Head of Community Expansion Jad Boniface's statement with TechCrunch entails hand-selecting game developers with "a track record of success."
The new Game fund picks include - Phaser Lock Interactive, the company behind the dinosaur-hunting game Primal Hunt; Creators of the first-person shooter Maximillian Studios; Secret Neighbor's "social horror" team; Skullbeat's music-battle game developers; and Fashion Klossette, Karlie Kloss' planned "next-generation fashion experience" studio.
Alpha and beta releases of the Game Fund games and the fashion experience are expected to be released in the upcoming months.

Roblox's New Era
Additionally, Roblox directs its developer community toward the Roblox Community Fund, which provides funding for educational initiatives, the Roblox Accelerator Program, which awards $13,000 awards to five game developers at a time, and a talent hub that serves as a sort of matchmaking service exclusively for its developer community.
The majority of those developer assistance services, together with the Game Fund, were introduced last year.
Roblox views its Game Fund as a means of promoting visually stunning games that, for the most part, don't resemble or even function like what the platform is renowned for. The $35 million fund now reflects what Roblox wants to be recognized for in its next period, which is shaping to look very different from the current one.
