New 'Bayonetta 3' Gameplay Trailer Features Cool Combo Attacks and More

After being announced back in The Games Awards in 2017, "Bayonetta 3" is now confirmed to arrive for the Nintendo Switch. Its recently uploaded full gameplay trailer introduced the thrill that is this new edition of the Bayonetta series. The said gameplay demo available on YouTube unveiled more glimpses of Bayonetta's Witch Time, Demon Masquerade, and auto-attack combos, as well as other unique abilities.

According to Engadget, Bayonetta can channel the abilities of various animals, such as a moth, spider, and scorpion, using the Demon Masquerade feature. The heroine conveniently transforms into the animals' essence as she wishes while in battle. Her moth form looks very magnificent with its neon-colored wings and fluttering mechanism.

Using these abilities, Bayonetta will travel across a ruined landscape filled with an army of Homonculi and demons. The Homonculi are man-made bioweapons that can pose a considerable threat on the battlefield.

Additionally, any difficulty setting in the game now has a one-button input mechanic for combos and defense moves, thanks to a new accessory called Immortal Marionette. It is now easier to go head-to-head against menacing creatures set to hunt the game's protagonist.

In the trailer, we are introduced to Bayonetta and Viola. The duo, along with a few others, are set on an exhilarating journey fighting creatures of the dark and man's own creation. This recent trailer is so far our best look at the "Bayonetta 3" storyline.

One of the great things about having Viola fight at your side is her ability to summon a gigantic cat that can easily turn the tide of any fight because of its sheer power.

Moreover, the Nintendo Direct re-introduced Bayonetta's old companions, and we also got to know the new additions to the squad. Nintendo Life reports that the returning Luka and Jeanne from the first two games are joined by new protagonist Viola, who differs from the Umbra Witch in gameplay. Thanks to her sword, darts, and capacity to use Witch Time by blocking, we could see a clear distinction.
