Some iPhone owners dislike the placement of the home-screen search button in the latest OS update.

Macworld shared that removing the button from your device's home screen is easy. First, go to the Settings app of your iPhone. If you want a shortcut, directly search for it through the search bar.

After that, scroll down, and you will see the Home Screen. Click it.

Once you're on the next screen, there's a toggle that you need to look at. It's located below SEARCH, so you will encounter it easily. When you already stumble upon "Show on Home Screen," and that's it already. Don't forget to toggle it off.

You're now inching closer to finishing the steps. At this point, all you need to do is to return to the home screen. You can now check if the search button is still there.

If you follow the instructions correctly, you won't see it there anymore. Instead, you will notice that there are sets of dots that indicate the number of homepages you have visited.

In case you decide to revert to the old setup, head to the Settings of your iPhone again, then tap Home Screen. Anytime, you can change this option by following the procedures mentioned before.
