Apple made some changes on iPhone 14 Pro's Dynamic Island as part of the new iOS 16.1 Beta.

According to the latest reports, the tech titan wants to make this feature more visible even in dark mode, that's why it added a light gray border on the exterior of its UI.

The new update aims to make Dynamic Island more visible in Dark mode for iPhone 14 Pro users.

With the arrival of the latest beta for iOS 16.1, there's a fine adjustment for the sensational Dynamic Island feature. As Macrumors stated in its report, when an iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max user activates a dark mode/background or when a black wallpaper is used, a light gray border on the outline will appear.

Apparently, this minor coloration disappears when Dynamic Island is inactive or when you unlock your iPhone 14 Pro. For instance, if you open your Apple Music app and play a song, the border will reappear in the same location.

The light gray border on the iOS 16.1 beta is apparently more pronounced compared to its iOS 16.0.2 counterpart. The latter displays a very faint border on the Dynamic Island.

As of press time, Apple has not further explained why it added the feature on the latest iPhone 14 Pro feature.

If you are using a dark background for the Dynamic Island, you might want to ditch it this time. The outline can be annoying because it's distracting, according to some users.

What iPhone Users Think About this Update

Apparently, the addition of the Dynamic Island gray border sparks criticism among old and new iPhone owners. According to one complainant, the border looks terrible. He added that it should have been an Accessibility feature which can be used on the Button Shapes Setting.

Another person wrote that the tweaked design makes him feel better to stick with the status peninsula.

For those who are always using a dim background, this is bothersome since it could blend it with the outline.

Apparently, there's a person who thinks that Apple just released it on purpose. He hopes that it's only a bug on the devices.

If you're continuously distracted by this feature, you can temporarily turn off the Dynamic Island content on your iPhone 14 Pro through a guide by Tech Times.
