According to an NYSBA survey, 65% of attorneys who have been in practice between 6 and 10 years say they have had no downtime in their career. Although lawyers get to bill every hour that they work, their workloads often require attention around the clock. Between reading briefs, submitting paperwork, managing clients, and tracking billing, there is no time for anything else. With all the complexities of the legal system, lawyers need tools to complete the mundane, tedious parts of their job so they can focus on helping their clients. Lawcus makes that possible.

Known as "one app, all things legal," Lawcus provides a myriad of services to lawyers across all specialties. The application allows for seamless billing, the automation of many tasks, easy intake, and no-code capabilities. Lawyers specialize in law, not technology, but Lawcus enables them to do it all without learning a new set of skills. The application, which was developed by Harsimran Singh, is robust, thoughtful, and well-developed, serving its purpose to reduce the time that lawyers must spend on the non-law aspects of their careers.

Harsimran himself is an extremely talented software engineer who studied computer science and made a career for himself as a developer. Prior to developing Lawcus, Harsimran spent years supporting the Elite 3E platform at Thomson Reuters. Elite 3E also supports legal professionals by streamlining some of their processes. Harsimran was able to build off of his experience with this technology and his interaction with legal professionals to develop a new application that did it all, Lawcus.

Today, the Lawcus application has thousands of users that range from individual attorneys to entire law firms. It has partnerships with large organizations including Smith.AI, Lawpay, Gravity Legal Payments, and more, making it a must-have tool for all lawyers. Its unified communication features and automated client emails are some of the most appreciated components of the application, but its potential is limitless. It's clearly becoming a go-to tool for Law professionals all over the country, so much so that it came in 5th in the American Bar Association TECHSHOW's Startup Alley Pitch Competition in 2022.

To Harsimran, increasing the access people have to justice is a major driver within his vision for Lawcus. With enough obstacles in the way like poor legislation, limited finances, and lack of industry knowledge, the general public can struggle to get the legal representation they need. Then, when examining the workload and demand placed on the average lawyer, it becomes nearly impossible for individuals to navigate the justice system without connections in the industry.

By using Lawcus to automate time-consuming tasks, manage client relationships, seamlessly track billing, and even make communication a breeze, lawyers have more time in their days to work with their clients and take on more cases. With more lawyers able to take on more cases, people all over the country will be able to quickly find the legal representation they need. As Lawcus continues to do the heavy lifting, its contribution to the industry remains profound; Capteraa, Software Advice, and Get App all named Lawcus as top legal software in 2022.

Due to unforeseen setbacks and the loss of his fellow co-founder, 2016 was a difficult year for Harsimran. But, with his engineering spirit, he re-vamped the approach for Lawcus' software in 2017. Then, post-Covid, the adoption of this integral legal application took off. The world is in a state of digital transformation, and the legal sector often gets left behind on that journey.

Now, thanks to Harsimran's vision and the development of Lawcus, lawyers can access tools and features that make their careers less administrative and more impactful. The legal system is difficult enough to manage, Lawcus ensures that it's not any harder than it needs to be - for both lawyers and their clients.
