The world's largest communication satellite, the BlueWalker 3, recently got deployed by its company, the Texas-based firm AST SpaceMobile, aiming to deliver massive 5G connections for its users. The company recently announced that its massive communications satellite in the low-Earth orbit will cover a field view of as much as 300,000 square miles over the Earth.

The new space satellite aims to deliver 5G broadband speeds with its services while operating to standard cell phone's 3GPP frequencies which allows many to experience this tech.

AST SpaceMobile's press release confirmed the company's deployment of the world's largest communications satellite to begin its service soon. The company's communication arrays for its satellites are already up and running, with its service aiming to deliver 5G broadband speeds for the public, even via standard mobile phones.

The Texas-based firm aims to allow the public to connect to faster speeds even at 3GPP connections, something that would make the fastest connection present in the world accessible for all.

The launched device was stowed to fit in the vessel, only to unfold now to the massive 693 square feet size of its entirety, one that will deliver 5G speeds for many.

It Aims to Deliver 5G Speeds via 3GPP Frequencies

The company aims to deliver a massive service even to those who have standard mobile phones and can only connect via 3GPP or 4G, something that would help access faster connections.

According to Interesting Engineering, the company first launched these satellites via SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket back in September, finally completing its deployment two months after.

Internet and 5G from Space

Internet from space is not a new thing anymore, as many companies are aiming to deliver the experience, with one leading name in the industry, Elon Musk's Starlink under his SpaceX ventures. Starlink is one of the most famous now, especially with massive global operations already up and running via its beta testing mode.

The space internet business is booming, seeing as SpaceX's success in the global market in providing an accessible connection for all.

There is one rival aiming to break ground as well, and it is via the Amazon Kuiper internet satellite which also comes from a Big Tech company from Jeff Bezos. The test internet satellites from Amazon will launch by late 2022, but they will board another company's first-stage rocket to help propel it to orbit, with United Launch Alliance instead of Blue Origin.

The test satellite will bring the connection for its subscribers via the standard frequencies, once thought to be forgotten by known telecommunications companies as they moved towards 5G. However, it aims to deliver the fastest speed in cellular data and broadband now, while banking on standard cellphones to also receive this connection from AST SpaceMobile.
