Following the successful release of Gala Games' third game, Spider Tanks, Gala Games is preparing to release its fourth title called Superior into a Beta phase. The upcoming game is set to be a third-person shooter based in a world where all the superheroes have gone rogue. Players will become hunters with various powers to track down the rogue superheroes.

A demo of the game was released in March, via the Gala Games Discord and an Alpha version of the game was already released in September for players to test the game. Superior will join the roster of released and unreleased titles including Town Star and Spider Tanks, while games like Legends Reborn, Fortitude, Battlestar Galactica Eternity, Grit, Eternal Paradox, Champions Arena, The Walking Dead: Empires, Mirandus, Legacy, Last Expedition, and Echoes of Empire are still in development.

When the game is fully released it will not only be released on the Gala Games website but also Steam, the popular digital game distribution service created by Valve.  The platform is already home to over 35,000 games with over 100 million active users every month. The platform also recently launched its own handheld console called Steam Deck, which runs most of the games on the platform in a handheld format, similar to Nintendo's Switch or PlayStation's PlayStation Portable.

The game will allow players to hunt superheroes, collect their powers, and unlock more abilities when they level up. The game also has a variety of different maps and modes for people to play on, which will provide a variety of different game styles for players to enjoy. In the character selection screen, players can choose from four different classes each having its own unique abilities.

The four classes include Renegade, Ronin, Nomad, and Specialist. The Renegade class is for players that prefer close combat, using a pump action shotgun and a higher grade of armor. The Ronin and Nomad classes are both middle-range fighters with the Ronin using an SMG and the Nomad using a pistol. Finally, the Specialist is a long-range fighter that comes with a sniper rifle.

While the game comes under the Gala Games label, the game has been developed by Drifter, which has worked on a variety of shooter games including Halo, Doom, Call of Duty, and Gears of War. The game is also one of the many Gala games slated to be in development that should be released in the next year. Gala also announced that, unlike previous tests, character progress and saves will carry over from the beta testing phase to the full game when it is released, giving an added reason for players to start in the Beta test.

Are you excited about Gala's latest project? Will you be participating in the Beta testing when it launches tomorrow?
