Epic Games is killing the online servers of a total of 17 gaming titles. The online services of games like "Rock Band" and "Unreal Tournament" are shutting down early next year.

And as such, these games would no longer be playable online. However, players could still enjoy these titles while offline.

Epic to Kill Online Servers for 17 Older Games

The "Fortnite" developer, Epic Games, announced in a blog post that some gaming titles are bidding farewell to their online servers.

According to a recent report by Game Spot, these games are losing their multiplayer online modes next year, or on January 24, 2023, to be more precise.

The server shutdown includes all six Unreal series games. Epic is killing the online services of "Unreal Gold," "Unreal II: The Awakening," "Unreal Tournament 2003," "Unreal Tournament 2004," "Unreal Tournament 3," and "Unreal Tournament: Game of the Year Edition."

However, as per the news story by Kotaku, the gaming firm says that the online feature of "Unreal Tournament 3" might soon see the light of day again. It should make its comeback through its Epic Online Services.

On top of that, "Dance Central 1," "Dance Central 2," and "Dance Central 3" are also losing their online servers starting Jan. 24. The same is happening to "Rock Band 1," "Rock Band 2," "Rock Band 3," "Green Day: Rock Band," and "The Beatles: Rock Band."

However, Epic assures that the online multiplayer for "Dance Center V" "will remain available," Kotaku notes in its report.

Other games like "Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars" are also affected by the server shutdown next year. "1000 Tiny Claws" is also losing its online features along with these games.

Epic is ending support for its RPG title, Battle Breakers, as early as December 30. And unlike other games, which are losing their servers, this one would no longer be playable. With that, there would not be an option to enjoy it offline.

For those who made purchases within the game in the last 180 days, you are eligible for a refund. The "Fortnite" developer says that they would get their money back automatically.

And as such, players of Battle Breakers have less than a month to enjoy playing the game. By next year, they could no longer play it.

On the other hand, other Epic titles are only losing their online features next year. They are still playable while offline.
