Cartken decided to expand its delivery service by partnering with Uber Eats, allowing it to send its robotic fleet across Miami-Dade county.

Nasdaq reported that these tiny delivery robots will soon expand in other countries as early as 2023.

As of writing, Uber Eats and Cartken haven't confirmed the exact countries these robots will be rolled out to next.

How Uber Eats Delivery Bots Work

If you are located in Miami, you can order via the Uber Eats app to try the new autonomous delivery robots of the food delivery company.

You will receive a notification if a delivery bot is available near your location.

Once you receive the confirmation, the Uber Eats app will provide the needed instructions to unlock the machine.

If you are worried about the safety of your food, the new Uber Eats delivery bots use a secure compartment to protect your order.

Because of its small size, Cartken's robotic fleet can go narrow streets, allowing more people to receive their orders easier and faster.

Aside from offering a smoother food delivery experience, Cartken CEO Christian Bersch stated that these autonomous bots also reduce traffic congestion and help local merchants to increase their delivery capacities.

He added that the new autonomous delivery robots are also zero-emission. You can click this link to learn more about them.
