Square Enix has announced that the highly anticipated "Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters" will finally make their way to the PS4 and Switch platforms. Fans of the series have been eagerly waiting for the chance to play these classic games on their favorite gaming systems, so this news has been met with a lot of excitement.

The "Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters" collection includes six classic games from the beloved RPG franchise, all of which have been fully remastered with updated graphics and gameplay mechanics. The collection has been available for PC and mobile devices for the past year and has received critical acclaim for its faithful recreation of the original games.

What's New

As per GamesRadar, the initial six games in the long-running series have been entirely revamped with new graphics and a reworked audio score by original Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu.

Meanwhile, artist Kazuko Shibuya, who has been a part of the series since its inception, redrew the character pixel art. However, the new dungeons and Easter eggs featured in the Game Boy Advance ports did not make it into the remastered versions of the games.

According to Square Enix, the PS4 and Switch versions of the "Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters" will feature all of the same content as the existing versions, including bonus features and additional gameplay modes. The company hasn't given a specific date for when the new versions of the collection will be out, but they have said that they will be for sale soon.

Also included is a specially compiled artbook showcasing beautiful character pixel art, as well as eight stylized pixel art character figures in window packaging.
