Random Games, an emerging game studio, has recently unveiled Reyu Genesis, its first collection of Hero non-fungible tokens (NFTs) based on its community-owned franchise Unioverse.

Reyu is a Ja'Din warrior and one of the main characters in the sci-fi franchise. The release of Reyu Genesis Hero NFTs marks a significant milestone for Random Games and the Unioverse community.

The Reyu Genesis Collection

As first reported by VentureBeat, each Hero NFT in the Reyu Genesis collection will be unique across dozens of visual parameters, providing real utility to holders by granting them access to upcoming Unioverse games.

There will be 20,000 different Reyu Genesis Hero NFTs available in various rarities, each one a fully-rendered 3D game-ready character. For those who have collected Unioverse collectibles and earned Protens, the Unioverse loyalty points equivalent, the NFT mint, will be free on Ethereum.

What's the Catch?

The use of NFTs in the Unioverse franchise offers players a new level of engagement. Owning a Unioverse Hero NFT will provide access to all upcoming Unioverse games, with the ability to play that specific character across different games.

The company stated that the Unioverse community had gained significant traction since Q4 2022, and it is currently ranked No. 6 in sales volume across all blockchains on Opensea.

On OpenSea, there are approximately 104,000 unique NFT owners and 130,000 registered Unioverse accounts. Discord has increased by 70% in the last month to 24,000.

The Team at Random Games

One of the key elements that set Random Games apart is the company's development team, which includes storytellers, writers, and comic book artists who have worked on everything from Star Wars and Star Trek to South Park and The Walking Dead. The team's experience and expertise have helped to create an immersive and engaging universe for players to explore and enjoy.

In addition to its talented development team, Random Games has also secured funding to support the growth of the Unioverse franchise.

The company raised a $7.6 million seed round co-led by Resolute Ventures and Asymmetric, with participation from other investors. This funding will further develop the Unioverse franchise and create new content for players.

Random Games was established in 2021, and the company uses NFTs and smart contracts specifically to generate revenue that goes back into the game and content development.

This approach is a win-win for both the company and the players, as it allows for the continued growth and development of the Unioverse franchise and allows players to own a piece of the universe they love.

The Unioverse Community

Releasing Reyu Genesis Hero NFTs is a significant step forward for Random Games and the Unioverse community. The unique and fully-rendered 3D characters, combined with the utility provided by the NFTs and the talented development team, offer players an unparalleled gaming experience.

The company's funding success and commitment to using the revenue to continue developing the franchise bode well for the future of Unioverse.
