"The Sims 4" gains medical wearable items in its latest update, such as hearing aids. It now gains top surgery scars and binders as well.

'The Sims 4' Medical Wearable Update

The social simulation game of Maxis and Electronic Arts released a new patch at the end of January, bringing all sorts of medical gear. The recent update also fixed some bugs along the way.

Polygon notes in its recent report that the new "The Sims 4" interestingly includes various medical wearables like glucose monitors.

But on top of that, the latest patch also brought transgender-affirming customization options, such as top surgery scars and binders.

The new patch adds "Medical Wearables" to the simulation game, bringing items like hearing aids and glucose monitors.

The hearing aids come with tons of color options. Polygon reports that it is available in about fifteen hues. Players could choose whether they only want to use one for the right ear, left ear, or why not both sides.

Meanwhile, "Sims" players could stuff their glucose monitors in four parts of the body. They could place it on the left or right arm of their players. Other options include the lower abdomen, either to the right or the left side.

But unlike hearing aids, gamers could not opt to place their glucose monitors in both left and right arms or lower abdomens. They could only use one and choose where they want to place it.

How to Add Top Surgery Scars and Binders

Besides the medical wearables, which include hearing aids, the new "The Sims 4" patch also brought more inclusive options.

According to a report by Mashable, the new update brings gender-affirming clothing items to the popular simulation gaming title.

The latest patch specifically adds a new Binder in the top category of the Create a Sims option. But that is not all. A Shapewear is now available in the Bottoms section, underneath the "Underwear" option.

Mashable highlights in its story that non-binary and transgender folks typically use clothing options like Binder, which is now available on "The Sims 4" thanks to its latest update.

On top of these clothing options, the new update brings top surgery scars. Polygon reports that the Body section now comes with a new option, aptly named "Body Scars." This new option allows players to include a top surgery scar to their players.

It is worth noting that these top surgery scars are usually seen in gender-affirming surgery for both non-binary and transgender folks.
