This boat motor is allegedly a prototype. When it comes to features, this electric boat propulsion tech reportedly has low noise, low vibration, and high torque.

Since the Honda Mobile Power Pack powers it, it doesn't emit carbon emissions.

As of writing, the giant automaker hasn't confirmed if it will make the electric boat outboard motor an official model.

But, since it was already showcased, there's a chance that Honda will make it into a model for the public market.

What We Know So Far

According to Electrek's latest report, the new electric boat outboard motor being reliant on Honda's Mobile Power Pack already shows that it is capable of.

Based on the size of the electric propulsion, there's a low chance that it would be a very high-performance motor.

Although this is the case, it can still be used to power lightweight electric boats. Rumors stated that this outboard motor could have a power rating of between 1 to 3 horsepower.

But don't be fooled by its power. Experts said that many 1 hp electric outboard motors are proven to be as efficient as 3 hp combustion models.
