It may have been a regular day for some, but Redditors were not able to connect with their communities and peers due to a major outage that the platform suffered from earlier today. The good thing now is that the company already fixed these major issues found in its systems, with Reddit now up and running for all its users.

Both the web and the app platforms of Reddit were inaccessible earlier, and people were left with no choice but to wait for the company to fix the problem.

Reddit suffered from a significant outage earlier today, and the company reported that it saw two components from its systems face a "major outage" problem. Additionally, three other components also suffered from a "partial outage," a reason that gravely affected its systems from functioning normally.

The company fixed the issue already and people were able to log in and continue their experience, browse their feeds and specific communities, and access the platform.

It took the company almost five hours to fix the issue present on both its mobile and web experiences but is now available to access and resolved the outage it faced.

Reddit Was Down for a Long Period

The Reddit outage was not immediately resolved by the company, as a five-hour wait time from its acknowledgment of the issue and fixing its platform was long.

The company's desktop and mobile web access was affected the most, especially as it was the center of the major outage.

Reddit's native mobile apps only had trouble accessing certain features and had a buggy interface because of the outage, the one which suffered the partial outage.

Reddit's Services

Reddit is still one of the largest social forum platforms in the world, where the public connects with their communities, both in local and international settings, to bring or gather updates, and be informed in their clique. The company is also fond of cryptocurrency and the digital infrastructure, with the recent Community Points update, opens up for crypto payments.

The platform is also highly accessible and customizable by concerned individuals, using its Developer Platform which is equipped with tools and the like to create bots to be used by Redditors.

The platform also recently added a way to mute unwanted content in their feed, already arrived on Android and iOS apps.

Seeing Reddit down is a bummer for most users, especially as this is the place where they get to connect and learn more about different topics including games, lifestyle, hacks, and more. The good thing is the company immediately provided access back to the platform after a massive down status, with usage now coming back to normal.
