Elon Musk: Twitter Allowed US Government to Full Access to DMs

Elon Musk is Now Speaking Out About the Acquisition

The first interview by Elon Musk was with BBC, where he shared the early acquisition and transition period, where he was surprised about how bad the shape of the company was when it transferred over to him. Here he talked more about how he slept in the office to revamp Twitter, as well as it when it had only four months to operate and would collapse, if it were not for his current efforts that are "barely" breaking even.

Twitter DMs and the new Twitter 2.0

As one of the most famous social media platforms in the world, Twitter was the center of attention during its initial acquisition and finally turned over the keys to the place to none other than the top billionaire in the world. With Musk's ownership of Twitter, he did not stop in the many developments since then, as part of the revamped "Twitter 2.0" which claims to be more tailored to public needs.

The many changes on Twitter first centered on the paid verification setup for the company, where those wanting a blue check on their profiles would have to pay for a subscription to set it up.

However, it did not end there, as the company is also looking to deliver a secure way of messaging other users on the platform, with end-to-end encryption for Twitter DMs.

With Musk's recent revelation to Carlson, the Twitter DMs may be more than for the public's needs, but also to prevent anyone from reading if that is not their account, like say, the US government. The claims remain to be, claims, as Musk's interview clip did not show him holding any concrete proof regarding this, but only allegations from the tech CEO, with more to know when the interview drops fully on national TV.
