Nothing Ear 2 has officially entered the wearable market with a new set of software updates that will optimize users' experience.

According to the official Nothing blog, the new software update version 1.0.1.88 for Nothing Ear 2 is now up for download.

The new wearable product now comes with enhanced sound latency and adaptive active noise-canceling features. Apart from that, users are now spared from experiencing a bug that disrupts the sound when they use the LHDC codec.

When it comes to play-and-pause, the earbuds can now easily identify the audio that is playing in the background. The update also brings improvement to call and voice quality, aside from the revamped in-ear detection.

For those who previously encountered sudden disconnection issues, the Nothing Ear 2 update has already solved the problem thanks to the improved accuracy for connection status.

If you want to download the software update, it's accessible via the Settings menu of your device. Just go to the Firmware update section of your Android phone or iPhone.

If you haven't yet purchased Nothing Ear 2 wireless earbuds, you can visit Amazon or the official Nothing store.

Nothing Ear 2 vs Nothing Ear 1

There are slight differences that you will notice once you get hold of both Nothing earbuds. When it comes to dimension, the recently-released Nothing Ear 2 is bigger compared to its predecessor. Additionally, the case of the previous version only has an IP55 rating. The newer one has an IP54 rating, per Financial Express.

Furthermore, the ANC feature is so much better with Ear 2. Paired with the transparency mode support, the new Nothing earbuds boast a more "personalized" approach to ANC.

When it comes to sound and controls, Ear 1 is not capable of connecting two separate devices at the same time, which is something present in Ear 2. The latter has press controls, while the older model only has touch controls.

Regarding their battery, the Ear 2 is said to last for up to 6.3 hours of continuous usage. It can go for up to 36 hours if the ANC is turned off.

Meanwhile, the Ear can only last for up to 5.7 hours of listening. If you switch off the ANC, it can achieve up to 34 hours of usage.

Will we see Nothing Phone 2 soon?

According to XDA Developers, Nothing hasn't announced any details about the Nothing Phone 2. The upcoming flagship handset will first be launched in the US. The main highlight of the smartphone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series chip.
