This means that consumers who want to upgrade their gadgets will receive a higher price for their older devices. 

For the past years, the iPhone maker has been making efforts to encourage its consumers to upgrade their gadgets to newer models. 

Now, the tech firm's latest efforts this 2023 include numerous older iPhone models. 
Apple is expecting the latest trade-in value increase to encourage customers to upgrade to the iPhone 14 models.

According to MacRumors' latest report, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max are just among the iOS smartphones included in the new Apple trade-in value increase.

If you are planning to upgrade to the iPhone 14 lineup, here is the complete list of iOS smartphones with increased trade-in values: 

  • ‌iPhone‌ 11 Pro: Up to $240 (Previous $230)
  • ‌iPhone 12 Pro Max‌: Up to $440 (Previously $420)
  • ‌iPhone 12‌ Pro: Up to $350 (Previously $330)
  • ‌iPhone 13 Pro‌ Max: Up to $630 (Previously $600)
  • ‌iPhone 13 Pro‌: Up to $530 (Previously $500)

The mentioned iPhone models are not the only gadgets that have increased trade-in values:

  • MacBook Pro: Up to $775 (Previously $730)
  • Mac mini: Up to $405 (Previously $375)
  • Apple Watch Series 6: Up to $110 (Previously $105)
  • Apple Watch SE: Up to $80 (Previously $70)
  • Apple Watch Series 5: Up to $85 (Previously $80)
  • Apple Watch Series 4: Up to $55 (Previously $50)
  • iPad Pro: Up to $470 (Previously $445)
  • ‌iPad‌: Up to $175 (Previously $165)
  • iPad mini: Up to $250 (Previously $240) 

How to Trade In Apple Gadgets? 

Apple's official website explains that customers can trade in their devices in two ways; in-store and online. 

If you are planning to upgrade, here are the steps you need to follow: 

In-Store Trade-In

  1. First, prepare the device you plan to trade in. You need to back up your data. 
  2. After that, bring it to the nearest Apple store. An Apple specialist will assist you through the process. 

Online Trade-In 

  1. First, check the trade-in value of your Apple device. 
  2. After that, choose the new product you want to replace your older gadget. 
  3. Then, wait for Apple's confirmation email. The email will include the instructions needed. 
  4. After that, you can mail it in or drop it off.
