"Celebrating the ongoing movement to protect and advance equality for LGBTQ+ communities around the world, Apple is introducing a new Pride Edition Sport Band accompanied by a matching watch face and iOS wallpaper," the tech giant wrote in an official announcement on Tuesday, May 9.
In support of the continuous efforts to promote equality and safeguard the rights of LGBTQ+ communities globally, Apple is unveiling a new Pride Edition Sport Band alongside a complementary watch face and iOS wallpaper.
Apple Celebrates Pride
In its recent announcement, Apple unveiled a new product that demonstrates its engagement with LGBTQ+ advocacy organizations and its dedication to promoting positive change.
The supported organizations include the Equality Federation Institute, GLSEN, Encircle, Equality North Carolina, Equality Texas, Gender Spectrum, Human Rights Campaign, ILGA World, the National Center for Transgender Equality, PFLAG, SMYAL, and The Trevor Project.
Drawing inspiration from the LGBTQ+ community, the Pride Edition Sport Band features the iconic rainbow colors of the pride flag, as well as additional colors representing various communities.
The design for this year's edition features a collection of geometric shapes on a white base, meticulously formed through compression molding. Each band possesses its own distinct layout of shapes, reflecting the uniqueness of every individual within the LGBTQ+ community.
Alongside the Pride Edition Sport Band, Apple introduces the Pride Celebration watch face and iOS wallpaper. The watch's face presents a lively display of colorful shapes emanating from the band, offering a visual spectacle that responds to the user's wrist movements and taps.
Similarly, the corresponding wallpaper on the iPhone dynamically moves upon unlocking the device, providing a vibrant and immersive Pride-inspired interface.

Starting from May 24, customers can also purchase the band at Apple Store locations worldwide. The band is priced at $49 and is available in two sizes, 41mm, and 45mm, and is compatible with Apple Watch Series 3 and later models.
