Gmail 'Help Me Write' Feature: Google Users No Longer Need to Manually Compose Emails

As of writing, Google's email service already has features that can help users compose email messages for their work and other daily tasks.

Among these are Smart Compose and Writing Suggestions. However, these features still require users' time and effort in order to write email messages.

This is why Google decided to create the new AI-powered "Help Me Write" feature, a functionality that automatically composes emails.

The search engine giant stated that this AI-powered enhancement is an expansion of its generative text and auto-replies in Gmail.

To help users understand how the new AI-powered tool works, Google CEO Sundar Pichai provided an example.

He said that the new "Help Me Write" feature could be used to compose an email message regarding an airline refund.

Pichai added that the AI feature would observe your previous messages with the airline so that the email would be accurate.

Of course, you still have the capability to edit the automated email message according to your liking. After that, all you need to do is send an email message to the airline.

'Help Me Write' Feature's Other Details

Google's Twitter post showed the new "Help Write Feature" in action. On its official tweet, you will see the magic-pen option (the AI-powered feature) at the bottom part of the screen.

Once you click this, the familiar Bard sparkle will appear next to the button. When the icon is tapped on, the user can insert their prompts.

In short, the new "Help Me Write" feature's efficiency will still depend on the instructions you will give to it.

Some trusted Google testers are already able to use the new "Help Me Write" feature. As of writing, the tech firm hasn't confirmed the exact release date for its public launch.
