Hair is everything. It shapes our very identity, and we tend to take that for granted over the course of our lives. Hair in and of itself may not be the primary factor behind what we do on a daily basis, but it plays an important role in shaping who we are and how others treat us, whether we like it or not.

Take it from me, someone who has gradually witnessed crowning on the topmost of my skull, hair care should be taken far more seriously, especially for the younger generation. Once it's gone, there's little else to combat it or alleviate those missing strands. While hair loss might not be on the minds of everyone, it does affect a large portion of the populace. In fact, the average human loses about 100 strands a day, and given that we commonly boast only a mere 100,000 strands on average, that's quite a scary number.

Hair grafting, or transplantation, is the most common method of regaining one's confidence by restoring those luscious locks, but these procedures can often be expensive, ranging from $3,000 to $10,000, potentially even more depending on the treatment. There's also a host of gadgets out there, like iRestore and CapillusPro, but it's typically hard to navigate these laser cap wearables and know if they're the right investment, as they, too, can be incredibly costly.

Beyond hair transplants and expensive headgear, though, there are a ton of different avenues for some to take. Keeps is particularly of note, given the online service's widespread acclaim, but it's more so tailored to help slow signs of hair loss rather than outright regrow hair. Like many related products, Keeps leverages Finasteride or Minoxidil to combat signs of hair loss, which can often smell quite bad and be a bit of a process to maintain.

Enter niostem. With its Indiegogo-backed hair regrowth headset from the future, niostem aims to revolutionize how consumers look to repair their lost locks. The firm has already amassed an astonishing $447,000 in funding, which it acquired within seven minutes of activation, and is slated to officially drop its newest product by October 2023. As of writing, the Indiegogo campaign has 21 days remaining, with three main tiers of entry.

Led by co-founder and CEO Dr. Carlos Chacón-Martínez, an expert in skin and hair stem cell regenerative medicine, niostem holds a mountain of weight in the hair care industry that, as of 2023, is estimated at $13.44 billion. In the face of costly headgear that often doesn't lead to major results, niostem's proven technology is all but a mere $1,000 buy-in for a process that leverages highly accurate and non-invasive bioelectrical stimulation for promised results starting after 3-6 months of use.

The device leverages bioelectricity to stimulate the follicles and make hair regrow.

niostem itself has several videos discussing how the procedure works. One such video featuring Dr. Chacón-Martínez best describes the process as a reawakening, wherein the headset gifts existing stem cells in the scalp with "bioelectrical stimulation" so that they can eventually produce what niostem terms as "daughter cells."

"These daughter cells are in charge of making hair," Dr. Chacón-Martínez explains. "They start making hair and, over time, this follicle - which is an organ inside your body - starts growing in cycles, as hair growth is in cycles. Once it starts growing, over time this follicle - this organ - starts growing slowly, growing hair in length, but also in thickness."

niostem users must wear the headset for up to 30 minutes a day. The firm tested in a pilot program that featured 22 applicants, showing massive strides with 100% hair loss stoppage and a 19% average increase in hair density. All applicants showed signs of hair regrowth and to say customer satisfaction was unanimously positive would be an understatement.

niostem is so confident in its system that the firm boasts on its webpage, "Guaranteed results in 6 months - Or money back." The upside of niostem goes well beyond its proven results. With contenders, like drugs and shampoo, you're far more likely to see signs of side effects or little active regrowth. And, while science might be on their side, as in the case of laser caps and transplantation, there's no real cell regeneration, which could potentially lead to a far more costly long-term investment.

With niostem, users can go about their day without worrying about wasting time or fiddling with shampoo, it's as simple as putting it on.

With niostem, you ensure hair loss is stopped while also maintaining a healthy regrowth cycle, one that even beats out Finasteride with a +42 hairs/cm2 potential in the same six-month period of use. It's as simple as turning on the smart device, putting it on, and going about your day. It can't really get any easier than that.
