An art school decided to use "Roblox" to teach its students.

In 2022, the Parsons School of Design announced a partnership with the popular online game.

"Partnering with Roblox offers Parsons students working in creative technologies an exciting opportunity to engage the complex intersection of visual culture and social structure," said Shana Agid.

Parsons' Dean of the School of Art & Media Technology added that the collaboration also allows students to play with how they make meaning when people dress.

Now, Parsons' partnership with "Roblox" finally presented the outputs of participating students.

Parsons Students Share Their Experience

One of the participating students, Zhenyu Yang, shared his experience during the school's "Roblox" course.

"Working in digital gives you so much freedom in terms of the structures you want to have," said Yang.

Another student, Lea Melendez, shared that the game's digital fashion has its own set of limitations.

Melendez and her team were the ones who created the purple, asymmetric jacket. She said that their original design was too detailed for the game.

Because of this, she and her partner had to reduce the design to the level of 3D detail. You can click this link to see more comments from Parsons School of Design students.
