8BitDo Set to Release New Arcade Stick Shortly After the Launching of 'Street Fighter VI' Game

8BitDo gets the timing right by launching the gaming gadget for Xbox shortly after the release of "Street Fighter VI," a game where some players might want to use a more classically designed arcade stick instead of the regular controller.

This new gadget would allow gamers to play as normally as they would on a regular arcade machine. According to Engadget, the "Street Fighter VI" game was launched on June 2, and 8BitDo is expected to drop its new arcade stick for Xbox later this month.

The wireless gaming accessory reportedly has moddable controls and supports swappable arcade buttons.

New Arcade Stick Is Reportedly Very Different from Other Older 8BitDo Accessories

According to reports, the latest arcade stick greatly differs from some of 8BitDo's older accessories. 8Bitdo has described the new controller as the "first Xbox-licensed wireless arcade stick worldwide."

The new arcade stick is reportedly highly customizable, which means users can remap its buttons, including profile support, with 8BitDo Ultimate Software.

Players Can Swap Actual Physical Buttons on the New 8BitDo Arcade Stick For Xbox

Players can use the 8BitDo Ultimate Software not only to remap its buttons but also to adjust the stick sensitivity. Gamers can also swap the physical buttons between standard 30mm and 24mm sizes.

The company further noted that the device has a battery that could last 30 hours without headphones and 20 hours with headphones. Its charging time is reportedly around four hours.

Players Can Get the New 8BitDo Arcade Stick for Xbox on Amazon

Players can get the 8BitDo arcade stick in black or white color for $120. That would mean the controller costs more than its competitors, like the Hori Fighting Stick Alpha for Xbox, which reportedly costs $80.

Gamers who want to buy the 8BitDo arcade stick can place a pre-order on Amazon. It is currently listed as officially releasing on June 30. The controller also has a 3.5mm audio jack, which can be used for headphones.

The 8BitDo arcade stick arcade was promoted as "ultra-moddable," with the joystick's mounting plate compatible with "virtually every arcade stick ever made."
