The latest piece of evidence comes in the form of a job listing that indicates the development of a new console, adding to the previous leaks of alleged system specifications.

With the Nintendo Switch approaching its seventh year in the market, fans are eagerly awaiting news of its successor.

Job Listing Hints at Next-Gen Nintendo Switch

GameRant reports that a job listing recently surfaced online seeks an embedded system developer to join a renowned game company based in Kyoto.

Although the listing does not explicitly mention Nintendo, given the city's association with the company and its console development history, it is widely believed to be related to the gaming giant.

While the job listing itself is vague, it provides valuable insights into the console's progress. The listing mentions responsibilities such as "handling post-release defects" and "adjusting requirements from customers."

GameRant highlights that this listing adds further credibility to these speculations in a report from early May, which indicated that the new Nintendo console is not expected to launch before spring 2024.

This timeframe aligns with the notion that the console is currently in a mature stage of development. If Nintendo aims to refine the design based on customer feedback and address logistics related to warranty fulfillment, the timing of this job listing aligns perfectly.

Rumored Features

As fans eagerly await official news from Nintendo, the rumors and leaks circulating in the gaming community have sparked discussions about the potential features and capabilities of the next-generation console.

Rumors of major hardware enhancements have already circulated. We reported in Sept 2022 that the Nintendo Switch 2 might have a Sharp LCD panel, a powerful Nvidia Tegra system-on-a-chip, and even 4K resolution capabilities.

While none of these hardware improvements have been confirmed, they are enough to pique the interest of gamers.

Next-Gen Nintendo Switch: What's Confirmed

Speculating about Nintendo's upcoming console is tough due to the lack of information available. Shuntaro Furukawa, the President of Nintendo, has already clarified that no hardware announcements or price cuts will be made this fiscal year.

While specific details remain scarce, the anticipation is building, and enthusiasts speculate possibilities such as upgraded hardware, improved graphics, and enhanced multiplayer experiences.
