Dambuster Studios, the developer behind the newest zombie game "Dead Island 2," has officially announced the first DLC amid the restructuring of Embrace Group, its parent firm.
For those who are excited to see the upcoming content in-game, the "Call The Cavalry" quest is not the only one waiting to be played. In the meantime, you can explore a lot of character skins that are customizable to your liking.
'Dead Island 2' Cosplay Feature
If you're fond of playing the game not just for the sake of slaying flesh-eating monsters but also striving to make your character look good, then this update is for you.
According to Bloody Disgusting, a collection of new character skins is currently on the line, thanks to the Cosplay feature. Feel free to explore each of them to see what suits your style and character persona.
- Premium Character Packs: These include a unique skin for the slayer named in the pack and a weapon that can be used by any of the slayers from the HELL-A Catwalk Collection. There is a total of six character packs, all available to purchase from digital stores today:
- Character Packs 1 (Silver Star Jacob) and Pack 2 (Cyber Slayer Amy) are included for owners of the Deluxe, Gold, and HELL-A Editions of Dead Island 2.
- Four further character packs - Gaelic Queen Dani (included for owners of the Expansion Pass), Jungle Fantasy Ryan, Steel Horse Carla, and Venice Vogue Bruno - are also available to further enhance your Slayer's stylish look.
- "Til Dawn" Collection: Features a brand-new skin for each of the six slayers, free for all players. These will automatically appear in the cosplay section after the latest update has been downloaded and players have reached the unlock point for Cosplay.
Where to Get 'From Dusk' Collection Skins
The abovementioned collection is not the only surprise you will reap upon seeing the first wave of "Dead Island 2" DLC. True Achievements wrote that you could also access "From Dusk" Collection skins and weapons from June 15 to July 17. However, there's a catch: you need to be an Amazon Prime subscriber since it's only obtainable via Prime Gaming Rewards.
The collection contains FOMOrian Claw and the Legless FOMOrian skin, which you can use if Dani is your favorite character. These are only some of the rewards you will receive in this stash.

'Dead Island 2' Haus Expansion Coming Later This Year
Game publisher Deep Silver is currently affected by the recent restructuring by Embracer Group. Since the company is prioritizing increasing its revenue, it will be lay-offing select staff in its current workforce.
Despite this, the second expansion will be scheduled to launch in late 2023, according to IGN. The "Haus" expansion will boast a twist of "techno-death" cult aspect along with the much-needed gore stuff that fans will enjoy seeing.
We expect to see more new missions, weapons, and rewards for the "Haus" expansion in "Dead Island 2."
Apart from that, there's also a "SOLA Festival" and this is "where LA's party people can greenwash their way to ecstasy and save the planet in true LA fashion, one rave at a time." This one will be released in Q2 2024.

Currently, you can play "Dead Island 2" on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Epic Games Store. To see its full roadmap perspective, click here.
So far, Embracer CEO Lars Wingefors thinks that "Dead Island 2" was the "greatest success" they achieved so far after a slightly disappointing performance from "Saints Row" in 2022.
