The iOS 17 Beta is here for those looking to try out the new experience for their iPhones, with one helping in deleting 2FA texts recently introduced by Apple. Security and safety are the main priorities for using two-factor authentication, but when people use the Autofill feature of the iPhone, text codes are left behind in the Messages app and takes up storage.

Apple's latest feature was introduced in the beta and would soon be available for the public to use, and this small feature brings massive help to those that have no time to do it.

The Cupertino company's iOS 17 is still evolving and while this feature was not given massive focus from WWDC 2023, it still is one of the most nifty and useful features that users may forget in the background. Two-factor authentication messages appear almost instantaneously for some, but deleting them takes people a long time.

Some either straight up forget about them as they go on their way to use the app or log in to the experience, but that is no longer a problem with iOS 17 and its current beta

9to5 Mac said that Apple would ask users if they would want to turn on the feature whenever receiving 2FA codes for the first time when in the beta.

However, they could still opt to turn it on manually via Settings, then go to Passwords > Passwords Options > and under Verification Codes, turn on the "Clean Up Automatically."

Auto Delete to Keep Them in Trash to Help in Recovery

Do not fear, as despite the autofill not working as intended and the iOS 17 already automatically deleting it, users may still recover the text via the Messages app. Tap Edit on the Messages app in its top left corner and look for "Recently Deleted."

Apple's iOS 17 and its Upcoming Features

WWDC 2023 delivered the official debut of different Apple software and the Vision Pro that brings the latest advancements to what Cupertino brings to the public. Among those most anticipated releases is iOS 17, and this is Apple's latest take on the iPhone operating system that brings a ton of features, including using the device as a smart home display.

Apple focused on massive UI upgrades to the iOS 17 and new features also bring in helpful functions that enable users to enjoy more of the iPhone experience. However, the new iOS version drops support for yet again two of the smartphone lineup's versions, including the iPhone 8 and the iPhone X which both came out in 2017.

One of the most notable traits of the features in iOS 17 is functionality, and it will help people do more on their device, without necessarily doing it manually. The auto-delete feature that is coming to its two-factor authentication may help in clearing out space for the smartphone, de-clogging the Messages app, and allows users to recover it for a certain period.
