The latest update for Diablo 4 has arrived, and players are in for a treat. Now it seems like the people behind the game have been attentively listening to player feedback and working hard to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience in Sanctuary.

What's In the Latest Patch?

The 1.0.3 patch brings a collection of exciting new features and improvements for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.

The update covers a wide range of areas, but one of the most notable changes is the addition of extra class buffs, and experience (EXP) boosts.

A Much-Needed XP Boost

The development team at Diablo 4 understands the importance of rewarding players for their dedication and hard work.

With the latest patch, they have introduced substantial improvements to the EXP system, providing players with an enhanced leveling experience.

TechRadar notes that one of the most exciting changes is the ability for players to teleport directly to Nightmare Dungeons from the map. This new feature saves players valuable time and allows them to dive right into the action.

Nightmare Dungeons, in particular, have received significant updates. Players will now enjoy a substantial increase in EXP rewards for completing these challenging dungeons.

Additionally, monsters killed within Nightmare Dungeons will drop more EXP, creating a more rewarding and fulfilling gameplay loop.

More Game Improvements

The class buffs included in the update further enhance the gameplay experience for each character. Nearly every aspect of the game has seen improvements, and these changes have been carefully balanced to ensure that the buffs are proportional to the existing skills.

For example, if a skill had a 10% chance of activating before the update and received a 50% buff, it will now have a 15% chance of activating. This approach ensures that the game remains balanced and fair for all players.

IGN notes that many bugs that have irritated players have also been addressed, such as rogues being invisible in the PvP-focused Field of Hatred zones and corpses disappearing when using Corpse Tendrils as a necromancer.

What We Know

Let's take a closer look at some of the class buffs introduced in the update:

  • Barbarian: The kick, Iron Skin, and legendary aspects of the Barbarian have all received buffs.
  • Druid: Skills such as Lightning Storm, Hurricane, Rabies, Cataclysm, and Lacerate have been improved.
  • Necromancer: The cooldowns of Reap and Bone Prison have been reduced, while Kalan's Edict and Rathma's Vigor have been buffed.
  • Rogue: The damage of Heartseeker's Primary Heartseeker has been improved, and cooldowns for Smoke Grenade, Rain of Arrows, and Escape Artist have been reduced.
  • Sorcerer: The slow effect of Singed Extremities and the effectiveness of Abundant Energy have both been improved.

While most players are delighted with these class buffs and updates, some feel that certain classes, such as the Sorcerer, did not receive substantial improvements.

Criticisms have been voiced on platforms like Reddit, with one user stating that the buffs "do next to nothing and don't address the issues."

However, it is important to note that the development team is constantly listening to player feedback and may make further adjustments in future updates.
