For quite some time, Meta's Threads has been the most popular app in the social media space. It surprisingly surpassed ChatGPT when it comes to user base as it reached 100 million users in just a few days since its launch.

While Mark Zuckerberg rejoices with its early success, Elon Musk is threatened by how it could affect Twitter. For some people, Threads is easy to navigate so far.

Is Threads Destined to End Twitter? Here are Reasons Why It's Getting More Love
(Photo: STEFANI REYNOLDS/AFP via Getty Images) The Twitter copycat is finally here, but surprisingly, it could be a better app than the original one in the long run, and here's why.

Zuckerberg is aware that Twitter has many lapses and it failed to be a friendly platform to some intruders. While Threads still lacks some features, it's already established as a news-free platform for all users.

According to The Guardian, Adam Mosseri, the Instagram head says that Threads will be quite spared with serious topics including politics and more.

Doing so, it will be a news-free app so people could focus more on the content that is flashing across their feeds. Despite this, news sites and politicians are spotted to be jumping on the bandwagon.

Twitter is About to End Twitter's Career

Seriously speaking, Musk is more than concerned with the current fate of Twitter. Many experts believe that its users will continue to decline for the next few years, especially with the arrival of Threads.

For Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince, Twitter is about to experience decreasing traffic on the site. So far, the biggest drop was recorded this July.

In reality, this change continues to get under Musk's skin. The tycoon was triggered when he mentioned that cheating is not fine between competitors, but competition is fine.

Threads Shines in Portability

For the most part, Threads remains unpolished, but Mosseri said that more features will be rolling out in the future. The text-based platform, however, excels in portability-a similar feature that is derived from another Twitter rival, Mastodon.

Moreover, Threads is becoming more appealing to brands, opening more opportunities for advertising. The Guardian also notes that it could be the new safe space for ads.

Since it is less toxic than Twitter, many brands think that it's an ideal place to promote their products. As more individuals explore Threads, it's more likely to gain traction in the next months or so.

Still, Threads remains bland and Meta is aware of that. It has no direct messaging and desktop users will be forced to use the mobile version since the desktop version does not exist yet.

Elon Musk vs Mark Zuckberg's Never-Ending Rivalry

The cat-and-mouse battle between Zuckerberg and Musk is included in the headlines of some of the most reputable publications. The rivalry continues and it just intensifies each week.

Last week, Musk accused Meta of stealing trade secrets for the creation of Threads. The SpaceX boss alleged the other company that hired its former employees.

Recently, Musk challenged Zuckerberg in a dick-measuring contest, per Tech Times. Some people find it weird and believe that Musk is only doing this for clout.
