Rumors surrounding "Red Dead Redemption" are getting more controversial following the latest update from its maker Rockstar Games.

The new changes in the website of Rockstar suggest that a remaster of the critically-acclaimed title is about to come out soon.

While it's too early to say that a remastered RDR title can fill the hearts and pockets of fans and developers, some critics call out its potential "first look."

The never-ending rumors about the remaster of "Red Dead Redemption" did not start this year. In fact, several reports hinting at "RDR2" began in 2022. At that time, leakers said that the upcoming game will be released on modern consoles such as PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Now, according to Insider Gaming, the most compelling piece of evidence which might hint at a "Red Dead Redemption" remaster is finally here.

The website update points out to RDR1RSP which could be the codename for Rockstar's present version of the game. Moreover, the revamped logo could also pave the way for more clues about the company's move to unveil its more definite form.

To be honest, fans are quite tired of hearing the same news about "RDR" across gaming websites. It's been years and yet, Rockstar did not manage to excite them to expect what's coming in 2023.

Putting "Rockstar Games Presents" in the all-new "Red Dead Redemption" could only mean that the developer is putting a lot of effort into releasing the game at its highest quality.

In reference to the release of "Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy," critics quickly lambasted the game at the time of its launch. However, it's not been under Rockstar since Grover Street Games took over its development.

Rockstar Games might have realized that creating its own direct version of "Red Dead Redemption" will redeem the lost touch in "GTA Trilogy."

Some insiders believe that "Red Dead Redemption" will rise from the dead. As GameRant reports, the launch date of the remaster remains "imminent" at the time of writing. We never know if it could happen tomorrow, the other week, next month, or next year. Clearly, no one has a clue about this.

Critics Called Out the First Look of 'RDR' Remake

Wild West lovers have had enough of the game and for the sake of their money, they want to see that the remastered version of "Red Dead Redemption" is worth every penny.

According to Gaming Bible, some critics took to Reddit that the visuals of the "Red Dead Redemption" remaster are not worth it. They even said that they looked fake.

"Yeah, definitely from RDR2.I feel like if someone were to leak actual images, something more convincing would be screenshots of the Mexico map with actual props and NPCs included," Redditor godzilla1992 wrote.

Some users said that the leaked images are uglier than a mod. The pictures, according to them, literally came from the "Project New Austin" mod of RDR2.
