Red Dead Redemption is getting a new logo with fans speculating that this might lead to an official Rockstar Games remake. While this isn't confirmed, it's already started to spike excitement as more people have been waiting for new material regarding the game for a long time.

Red Dead Redemption New Logo Prompts Rumors that the Studio is Working on a Remake

According to Games Hub, Red Dead Redemption has a new logo and it was uploaded by none other than Rockstar Games on its official website. The game reportedly sparked talks about a potential remaster, which wasn't announced, of the beloved game.

The article notes that the newer logo was reportedly a crisper version of its original logo. However, one Twitter user shared that the logo wasn't the only thing being added as website data revealed that this could point toward an upgraded version of the beloved Rockstar Games title.

The new data was spotted by @TezFunz2, who claimed that the new site upload added what was noted as a "reference within the game list." The games list reportedly refers to Red Dead Redemption and the new data showed a codename "RDR1RSP," which could be a sign of something else coming.

Having a Remaster of the Original Red Dead Redemption Could Make Sense After the Popularity of Red Dead Redemption 2

It was noted that although the new discovery might not be as shocking, a lot of people have already noticed how Red Dead Redemption received a re-rating in Korea by the Game Rating and Administration Committee, according to Gematsu.

The new rating was a new development, as it was published on June 15, 2023, with little explanation as to why the game was given another rating. With regards to Red Dead Redemption 2, its success could mean more people wanting to revisit the classic original version.

It was noted that returning to the original game would allow players to get an opportunity to visit the past of Red Dead Redemption lore. So far, the studio behind the game, Rockstar Games, has still not given any news regarding its plans and if there would ever be a potential remake.

Other Implications of the New Logo Could be the Studio Just Simply Tidying Up

The article by Games Hub reports that as of press time, there was allegedly a Red Dead remaster in the works but so far, it was nixed even before it was able to reach its final development stage.

During that stage, it remains unclear as to whether Rockstar is choosing to revisit the idea of remastering the game or if the new logo was just a means of tidying up. This also applies to the new game rating it received in Korea.

So far, a new remaster of the original title remains just a rumor and fans would have to wait for an official comment by Rockstar Games either acknowledging or denying that the study is really working on a remaster of the original Red Dead Redemption.
