The world of "Final Fantasy XIV Online" has long been expected to come to the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles and finally, on Spring 2024, the game will launch on the consoles with 4K support and an open beta expected to come soon.

Microsoft is Adding the "Final Fantasy XIV Online" MMORPG Game to Xbox Series X and S for More Users to Play

According to the story by none other than Xbox, after a lot of anticipation regarding whether it would happen, the MMORPG game is officially coming to Microsoft's Xbox Series X and S consoles. This comes as part of the first announcement given by Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming, along with Naoki Yoshida, the producer and director of "FFXIV."

The announcement was released in Las Vegas during the "Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest 2023" and the article by Xbox news says that this addition would have major implications as the community is expected to get even bigger. With the addition of Xbox access, this means more users will be able to try out the game.

The Game Comes with Access to the World of Hydaelyn for Xbox Players Since the Title is Already Available on Other Platforms

As seen on Square Enix, the "Final Fantasy XIV Online" is still only available for Mac, PC, Steam, PS4, and PS5. This meant that previously, Xbox players had no access to the game which is something that's changing along with the huge announcement.

The game happens in the world of Hydaelyn and Xbox described this place as a planet that was blessed with Crystal's light. It was also noted that the world encompasses the west side of the Three Great Continents, wherein a realm lies that was forged by heroes and embraced by gods.

The Launch of the "Final Fantasy XIV Online" Title is Set to First Release in Open Beta for Xbox Series X and S Users

As for its launch on the Xbox console, the "Final Fantasy XIV Online" title is set to release first in open beta for the Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S. This comes as part of the Patch 6.5x series, which users will be able to expect very soon.

The 4K support on the Xbox Series X for both consoles will result in players being able to enjoy faster loading times. The article by Xbox notes that this would make sure that the user's time in Eorzea would look and play well.

The 'Final Fantasy XIV Online' Free Trial Will be Available for Players to Try Out with No Playtime Restrictions Up to Level 70 for Expansions

Aside from that, users will also be able to play the Final Fantasy XIV Online Free Trial on the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S in order for them to enjoy long playtimes without restriction. 

This comes as the whole A Realm Reborn and the Heavensward and Stormblood expansions would be available for users up to level 70 without any playtime restrictions.
