Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed that his diet includes 4,000 McDonald's calories per day. The tech billionaire explained he has to eat a lot to "offset all the activity" from his new fitness routine.

The 39-year-old Facebook founder used Threads, a site he had just created to compete with Elon Musk's X (formerly Twitter), to post his favorite McDonald's menu items, including 20 nuggets, a quarter pounder, large French fries, an Oreo McFlurry, apple pie, and a few extra side cheeseburgers.

This diet was intensified to keep Mark Zuckerberg in his best physical condition, particularly in light of a prospective threat from rival billionaire Elon Musk. Musk said he would be "up for a cage fight" with Zuckerberg in a tweet from June, to which the CEO of Meta replied, "Send me location," according to a New York Post report.

Mark Zuckerberg Defends His McDonald's Diet

UFC fighter Mike David said, "You're in camp! " as he disagreed with Mark Zuckerberg's dietary choices, "No McDonald's." However, the technology tycoon insisted, explaining that his active lifestyle and intense training require him to consume many calories.

As reported by TMZ, Mark Zuckerberg has been training with some of the best UFC fighters in the world and just built a mixed martial arts combat ring in his backyard, demonstrating his dedication to his health quest. He has recently been spotted working out with UFC champions Alex Volkanovski and Israel Adesanya, and a number of other fighters have volunteered their help.

The tech CEO's rigorous training efforts were confirmed by Adesanya's post of Mark Zuckerberg showing off his six-pack abs between him and Volkanovski, which alluded to a prospective cage bout with Musk.

In the other camp, Elon Musk was seen working out with UFC legend Georges St-Pierre and podcaster Lex Friedman, who holds a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Threatening Twitter

In addition to keeping his fitness, Mark Zuckerberg has been hard at work expanding his social media empire. He launched Threads in July, a website meant to rival Twitter. Within its first seven hours, the app had attracted 10 million users, and within a week, it had amassed 100 million users, as per a report from Today.

Given Meta's support as the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, Threads has received acclaim for its ability to challenge Twitter, which was purchased by Elon Musk last year. The enormous user base that Meta already has may provide a solid basis for the new social media platform.
