The gaming industry has been regarded as one of the most toxic communities in the world, but this is getting an ally in the form of Xbox's new update that will allow users to report abusive voice chat users to the company. Instead of being upset after getting scolded by one of your teammates or opponents, be proactive in letting moderators know of their toxic behavior online.
In the September Update for Xbox's Series S and X, the new feature will arrive to aid gamers in getting more peace of mind while playing, with toxic players getting reprimanded.
Xbox Rolls out Reporting Feature for Abusive Voice Chats

Microsoft's Xbox brought the latest information for its September Update, and one of the most important features to arrive here is the feature to report abusive voice chat gamers to the company. The company calls this the "Xbox Voice Reporting" feature, giving users the ability to capture as much as 60 seconds of video that would serve as evidence when pointing out abusive gamers.
The company also released a guide on how to use this reporting tool to catch the raging or toxic gamers in the act, with the Xbox Safety Team getting the recordings for review.
With a series of clicks and a dedicated tab for gamers, they can already record the abusive behavior that they think violates the company's Community Standards.

Toxic Gamers to Do Not Belong in Xbox
According to the company, this purpose-built feature will support different interactions in-game, including Xbox 360 backward compatible titles across various platforms. However, for now, this would only be available to English-language markets including the US, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
Soon more regions and languages would be added to accommodate user reports.
No to Toxicity on Xbox
This feature was originally introduced by Xbox last July, with the company promising gamers who receive toxic remarks or harassment from other gamers now gain power and confidence in the platform. The company promised that this update would be featured system-wide, with the company applying it to the different platforms and titles available to access.
Moreover, there was also a pledge by Xbox to take its Community Guidelines to the next level as its recent update claimed that it would suspend gamers, with the company counting their "strikes" based on their online behavior. Xbox would kick them out of the multiplayer features depending on the number of strikes, with the company's maximum penalty being eight strikes for one year of suspension.
It was previously regarded by a study in 2020 that Xbox gamers are the most toxic in the world with PlayStation following with its community. Now, Xbox is giving the power to gamers to bring attention to those who are abusive in voice chats, with the company introducing it to select regions and the latest-gen consoles, Xbox Series S and X, first, soon to follow for more countries and platforms.
