Nintendo Switch gamers can soon add a new exciting video game to their collection after Gotham Knights, an action-packed game from last year, gained a rating indicating it would be heading to the well-known gaming system.

Fans of the Batman mythology may soon be able to explore Gotham Knights' dark and thrilling universe on the popular Nintendo console. According to reports, the ESRB has rated the game on the Nintendo Switch, joining the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Furthermore, the Gotham Knights entry on the Singapore Ratings Board has been updated to specifically indicate the Nintendo Switch as one of the supported systems, according to a GoNintendo report.

Gotham Knights Faced Backlash From Gamers

Notably, controversies surrounded the Gotham Knights October 2022 release on current-generation platforms and PCs. According to GameRant, one of the main issues of players with Gotham Knights was its 30 FPS maximum frame rate on consoles, which attracted criticism at a time when many games on systems like the PS5 and Xbox Series X supported slicker 60 FPS gameplay.

Some players also have compared the video game's user interface to free-to-play mobile games and slammed it. The PS5 version of Gotham Knights received mixed reviews; Metacritic gave it 67. Consequently, there is anticipation that once the game gets released on the Nintendo Switch, it will ignite comparisons.

Official statements from the game's creators or publishers are still anticipated since the chance of a mistake in the listings cannot be completely ruled out. In the past, similar rating board entries have been trustworthy predictors of game launches for the Nintendo Switch.

Recently, a popular leaker on Reddit has disclosed an upcoming Nintendo Direct presentation, which increases the likelihood that a Gotham Knights port will be formally confirmed soon. Moreover, the addition of "Nintendo Switch" to the list of platforms on the rating list suggests that Gotham Knights may not be available as a stream but as a native port, according to Eurogamer.

Despite these issues, video game enthusiasts eagerly anticipate Gotham Knights' Nintendo Switch debut, which has playable heroes Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood and provides a different experience of Gotham City's crime-infested streets.
