Apple Updates the AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C Charging Case, Alongside the iPhone 15

In a surprise outing from Apple, the AirPods Pro 2, the highly expected and speculated device from the company has seen an upgrade to a USB-C Charging Case with Cupertino revealing it last Tuesday. The Wanderlust event from Apple brought in its massive releases earlier today, unveiling the world of the most powerful smartphone from the company, the iPhone 15.

Apple completed the ensemble for the public, with the iPhone 15 coming in with its trusty wireless music device, both sporting USB-C charging ports for its connected experience.

Apple's Wanderlust event recently ended with the company on a high note as its revolutionary change to USB-C was finally unveiled for their mobile device, but also brought in an update for the AirPods Pro 2. Now, the wireless in-ear audio wearable is featuring a USB-C Charging Case, with some of its features updated by the company.

Of course, the most noticeable upgrade here is the USB-C Charging Case which allows users to use their available USB-C connector to the AirPods Pro 2, as well as the iPhone 15's charger.

It is also a MagSafe Charger, meaning that it can be done wirelessly if one does not own a USB Type C cable. With this, the company offers Lossless Audio with ultra-low latency that is compatible with the Vision Pro.

The AirPods Pro 2 and the iPhone 15 could share chargers and allow users to enjoy one less cable to bring for charging.

The new AirPods Pro 2 also features an improved IP54 rating for the earbuds and case, offering additional dust resistance for this latest release.

Apple's Focus on USB-C

One of the massive focuses of this year's releases from Apple is USB-C, and many leakers, insiders, and speculators have guessed and reported correctly what Wanderlust had to offer. It was revealed by Ming-Chi Kuo that Apple will update the AirPods Pro 2 with a USB-C Charging Case, as the device is the latest that the company had delivered.

Initially, this USB-C Charging Case was speculated for the AirPods 3, as well as the AirPods Max, which both were unveiled years earlier and still features the Lightning port.

This massive focus on USB-C is also something that would benefit Apple as a survey previously found that this charging port upgrade could urge Android users to switch to iOS, with the iPhone 15's arrival.

Apple's Wanderlust event truly gave the world wonders with its introduction of the USB-C revolution from the Cupertino company, with the iPhone 15 leading the charge. It does not come alone, and thankfully, Apple gave the world a USB-C Charging Case for one of its AirPods, particularly the Pro 2, with many requests since last year to have the accessory feature the universal charging standard.
