A renowned analyst has claimed that Apple is looking to release the "M3 Ultra," the top-of-the-line variant of the company's current generation chips, the M3 series, bringing a more significant performance than the current top processor.

Last week's Scary Fast event introduced the M3 series that centered on three variants, but that is not yet the end of the releases from the company.

M3's family includes three chips from Apple, the M3, M3 Pro, and the M3 Ultra, which all update the technology available on Apple's Mac.

Apple M3 Ultra: No Tests Yet for the Top-of-the-Line Chip

The latest Power On Newsletter on Bloomberg by Mark Gurman teases another M-series SoC that is under development by Apple, and it is none other than the M3 Ultra.

However, there is one setback, and that is the top-of-the-line ARM-based chip not yet undergoing its testing, said the famed analyst, with Apple prioritizing the low-volume products. These are the new MacBook Pros and iMac, which Apple recently unveiled with the new M3 processors to power them.

However, it was also said that the Mac Studio and the Mac Pro are "more" lower-volume than the current pair, and these two devices would soon deliver the M3 Ultra, the regarded top-of-the-line chip.

M3 Ultra Is Set to Bring the Best Among M3 Family

9to5 Mac reported that the M3 Ultra is set to arrive first on the Mac Studio, and this is a device that is already under development to deliver the best among the M3 family that Apple introduced this year.

That being said, the anticipation is already massive for next year's new Macs, especially with the new M3 lineup. The M3 Ultra, Apple's most powerful chipset yet, is soon to be tested by the company.

Apple's M3 and What it Brings

Apple's current-gen chips for its devices are centered on the 3-nanometer process. The company is designing them to be smaller and more powerful than its past releases featuring the M3 and the A17 Pro.

With the company's massive focus, it was revealed that it bought all the 3nm chips from TSMC, the renowned manufacturer of its Silicon-based chips, to focus on its volume production.

The release from last week's Scary Fast event has brought the world the new M3 lineup for the Macs. The first computer to see the update was the MacBook Pro, which would get all the latest processors from the M3 - from the M3 Pro to the M3 Max.

Apple's announcement brought hope to its Macs, especially with the long-awaited refresh for the iMac, with the M3 chips making its debut last October, as initially speculated.

However, that is not yet the end of the story for Apple's 3nm computer chipset, as the company will still reportedly offer an M3 Ultra variant soon, according to Gurman, who is confirming it but claiming that tests are yet to be made by the company.
