Dell has unveiled its latest addition to the UltraSharp Monitor lineup, the 40-inch 5K Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor, ahead of CES 2024, which also earned recognition as an Innovation Award Honoree. 

This upcoming product aims to attract the likes of working individuals who want to have a more efficient working environment through a high-performance monitor. 

"Known for outstanding visuals, the U4025QW is a must-have for professionals who require clarity and remarkable color. This ultrawide curved VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified monitor comes with IPS Black Panel technology for greater color contrast and intricate detail in 5K resolution (5120x2160)," Dell said in a press release statement.

The New UltraSharp Monitor

Dell shared comprehensive details about the new UltraSharp Monitor, emphasizing its role as a pioneering device in the realm of visual technology. The Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor (U4025QW) stands out as the world's first 40-inch 5K monitor certified for five-star eye comfort. 

Geared towards professionals such as content creators, data scientists, engineers, and individuals seeking a high-performance monitor, the U4025QW aims to offer unparalleled clarity and vibrant color reproduction. 

The ultrawide curved monitor, certified with VESA DisplayHDR 600, boasts IPS Black Panel technology, enhancing color contrast and intricate detail in a 5K resolution (5120x2160).

Eye Health Enhancement

A notable feature of the new UltraSharp Monitor is its focus on enhancing eye health,  which aims to set a new industry standard for eye comfort. Dell has collaborated with TUV Rheinland to achieve a five-star eye comfort certification, incorporating innovative technologies to reduce signs of eye fatigue.

Key enhancements include doubling the refresh rate from 60Hz to 120Hz for smoother motion visuals, integrating an ambient light sensor to automatically adjust screen brightness and color temperature, and improving Dell ComfortView Plus to reduce harmful blue light exposures.

Precision, productivity, and convenience are at the forefront of the monitor's design. With a 99% DCI-P3 / Display P3 color space, the U4025QW caters to tasks demanding pinpoint color accuracy. Dell claims that users can conveniently calibrate colors using Dell Color Management software.

Single-Cable Convenience

The monitor offers Thunderbolt 4 for single-cable convenience with up to 140W power delivery, high-speed wired Ethernet connectivity at 2.5 Gbps via RJ45, HDMI 2.1 FRL (Fixed Rate Link), and DisplayPort 1.4 for seamless image transmission.

The UltraSharp monitor exudes a clean aesthetic, complemented by front-facing quick access ports for easy external device connections and features a premium platinum silver finish.  

Dell hopes that the UltraSharp 40 Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor will be a standout option for professionals demanding superior performance and visual quality.

For those seeking a more compact display, Dell also introduced the UltraSharp 34 Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor (U3425WE), featuring WQHD resolution (3440x1440) and similar eye comfort certifications, IPS Black technology, and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity with up to 90W power delivery.
