Anton Storozhuk started Alpha Serve in 2003 in Ukraine. For the first 13 years, Alpha Serve operated as an outsourcing software development company. In fact, for the first several years, Storozhuk was on his own. However, in 2018, a client requested a customized application for secure authentication in Jira. This request stuck with Storozhuk, who considered developing his own application, realizing how vital secure authorization apps are to users. It was then that Alpha Serve released its first apps—2FA for Jira and 2FA for Confluence (two-factor authentication)—on Atlassian Marketplace. This release marked the beginning of their long and storied journey as an Atlassian Marketplace Partner.

The release of their Power BI Connector for Jira in 2019 helped Alpha Serve experience a transformation on the Atlassian Marketplace. Power BI Connector for Jira grew into one of the fastest-growing apps in the marketplace. This app continues to hold the top position and remains the most popular choice within Alpha Serve's app portfolio.

From there, Alpha Serve entered the Shopify App Store with the launch of Power BI and Tableau Connectors for Shopify in 2020. Joining the Shopify App Store was a significant milestone for the team at Alpha Serve. In 2021, Alpha Serve ceased all outsourcing contracts and focused on providing B2B apps for various B2B marketplaces. That same year, they also released 6 new applications on the Atlassian Marketplace. Five of the apps were granted Cloud Fortified status, and Alpha Serve was recognized as an Atlassian Silver Marketplace Partner. Within 6 months of reaching Silver Partner Status, in January of 2022, Alpha Serve was made an Atlassian Gold Marketplace Partner.

Despite an abrupt interruption to their business in February of 2022, Alpha Serve continued to grow. With war on their doorstep, each team member embraced their work. At this time, three of the team members joined the army, and Alpha Serve moved their offices to Kyiv after their original office was destroyed. Their dedication paid off; in May of 2022, Alpha Serve entered the ServiceNow Store with their Power BI Connector for ServiceNow. Each new marketplace Alpha Serve enters showcases its adaptability. Alpha Serve was on a fast track for 2022.

In July of 2022, Atlassian recognized them as Atlassian Platinum Marketplace Partners. Next, in August, they debuted in the Zendesk ecosystem with enterprise-grade BI Connectors for Zendesk, further enhancing data integration capabilities. In November, they launched Power BI Connector for monday.com.

April of 2023 saw Tableau Connectors for ServiceNow and monday.com expanding their range. In December of 2023, Alpha Serve introduced Power BI Connector for QuickBooks, which is designed specifically for the accounting software market.

Anton Storozhuk: "Our app offers a unique number of features on the market, enabling a seamless integration experience. Users no longer need to spend majority of time to manual technical work—they can fully focus on the business analytics, as the app does all techy work for them.

Power BI dashboard templates allow users to visualize top Jira reports data immediately. Advanced filtering and scheduled refreshes save exporting time. Data residency helps customers ensure their data is securely stored in a preferable location. These distinctive features of the Power BI Connector set it apart, as these unique capabilities are not found in other products."

With this new year and the new partnership with Tempo Software, Alpha Serve aims to push the boundaries of data connection even further. Bringing Tempo's time management expertise will allow Alpha Serve to explore new innovations. Pushing the boundaries of BI integrations will cater to the evolving needs of their users. This ambitious goal is the next step for Alpha Serve to become a true leader in BI integrations.

Conclusion

Commitment to growth should extend beyond success. Throughout the last few years, Alpha Service has been experiencing many challenges. Originating from Ukraine, the business has faced the complications of war and the turbulent environment of an emerging market. Reliable partners and a committed team have become fundamental support for the company to grow.

This collaboration, where Alpha Serve joins the Tempo Software family, should bring opportunities for future developments, continued learning, and growing excellence in the technology sector. With shared visions and a mutual commitment to client-centricity, the partnership leverages Alpha Serve's expertise and Tempo's experience, creating a perfect synergy that enhances data analysis and visualization capabilities.

Alpha Serve has maintained the goals of growth and innovation with each new release and app—and will continue to do so in the future.
