Sukhdeep's illustrious career trajectory began with him leading a Special Forces platoon in Counter Insurgency environment and then transitioning to a Combat-Search & Rescue (C-SAR) pilot in the Army Aviation. Sukhdeep's leadership journey continued as he stepped into the shoes of a Commanding Officer (CEO) for an Infantry Battalion. In this role, he led a unit comprising more than 1000 soldiers in high-intensity counter-insurgency operations. His responsibilities extended beyond the battlefield, as he was entrusted with the management of high-value assets and operations in a sensitive area spanning over 200 square kilometers. It was during this time that Sukhdeep pioneered the use of small drones for early warning hostile territory, a groundbreaking innovation.

His commitment to personal and team growth was evident as he nurtured a culture of learning and development within his team, resulting in 113 of his team members being selected for special assignments. Under his command, the unit received 26 awards for excellence, emphasizing his innovative solutions and exemplary leadership.

Mastering the Art of Operations and Logistics

After his remarkable stint as a Commanding Officer, Sukhdeep was selected for the role of Chief Operations Officer (COO) for the first Composite Army Aviation Brigade. This was a significant shift, as he transitioned from the Infantry back to Aviation, controlling operations, administration, security, training, and logistics for one of the highest aviation bases globally.

In this role, he successfully orchestrated the deployment and operations of a fleet of 40 light and medium lift helicopters, providing critical logistical support to troops deployed in Siachen Battlefield. His efforts also led to the automation of the Operations' Control Center, further enhancing the capabilities of his team.

He was responsible for managing logistics and supply chain planning worth more than $300 million annually, as well as controlling aviation assets worth over $200 million. His efforts were exemplified by a sterling flight safety record with ZERO accidents in this extremely active, hostile and challenging environment.

Strategizing for Success in the Corporate Arena

Sukhdeep's transition from the military to the corporate world was seamless, highlighting his versatility and adaptability.  As the Director of Product Strategy at ORRO, Sukhdeep demonstrated his strategic prowess once again. He played a pivotal role in development of a smart home product which utilized IoT and machine learning (ML) in adapting to behavior and choices of the consumers.

He pivoted the product branding strategy, business development strategy, and business model from Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) to B2B and Business-to-Business-to-Consumer (B2B2C), resulting in a remarkable 300% sales growth. His contributions extended to launching new business verticals, collaborating with industry leaders, and working on multiple projects at the junction of Human interactions with AI/ML Tech.

From the Battlefield to the Boardroom: Shaping Corporate Success

As the Director of Strategic Operations at TruckX, he analyzed the existing business and technology, and added a new vertical of Dispatch Operations. He formulated strategies that led to a growth of 200% in less than two years. His efforts not only doubled revenues but also increased the growth of users from 8000 to +90,000 within two years. He also strategized the product lifecycle to pivot the product from an ELD (Electronic Logging Device) to a multiple device IoT based Transportation/Fleet Management Solution (TMS/FMS).

He is now working on Product Roadmap and Growth Strategy for JRD Inc. a silicon valley company working on a pet care product in stealth mode.
