An upcoming UI revamp for the Meta Quest platform is coming, and reports are claiming that it looks similar to the Apple Vision Pro, particularly with its experience and mixed-reality features available. In the recent March AMA of Meta'a chief technology officer Andrew "Boz" Bosworth, he addressed and teased the features coming in for the Quest UI revamp, revealing the possible features available.

It is known that Quest 3 is not threatened by the Vision Pro, with Meta welcoming the competition from the Apple device.

Bosworth uploaded the March AMA discussions on his Instagram Stories two days ago, and it can now be found on his highlights to review more of what Meta Quest is preparing for its future UI revamp. In his talks, he addressed the upcoming update to Quest's user interface and claimed that it would not only be specific for the mixed-reality but for all the headsets on Meta, alongside the future ones coming.

According to Android Central, it is similar to the Vision Pro in terms of providing new features like pinned menus and apps, an upgraded touch-type keyboard that allows action from all fingers, and use it while lying down.

This new Quest UI overhaul would bring a more intuitive experience for users, may it be for apps or games, with Boz teasing the "personalized UI" and new features coming soon.

Meta Quest UI is Reportedly Like Vision Pro

While it has similarities to the Vision Pro, the upcoming Quest UI will take on a more personal approach towards the experience that users will have on Meta's headsets. In the update, Boz said that there will be "fluidity" in the way users interact with their environment and the headset, with a more seamless experience coming.

The more personal experience coming to the Quest UI shows what it can offer users despite being 1/7th the price of the Apple headset.

Quest 3 vs. Vision Pro: XR Showdown

When Apple released the Vision Pro in February, Mark Zuckerberg had a lot to say about the headset, with many regarding this as his "Steve Ballmer moment" where they doubted the Apple device, only to be proven wrong later. In the video, Zuck claimed that the Quest 3 is better in many aspects than the Vision Pro, and overall, the Meta headset is one that people should use.

Additionally, a previous interview with Meta during the nearing release of the Vision Pro saw a different kind of response from the company, claiming that it is "optimistic" about its rival's arrival. Meta went as far as to say that it is "unfazed" by the Vision Pro's drop, with Quest 3 positioning itself to be the "Android" of the mixed-reality world, one that is cheaper but capable of providing this experience.

In the many reviews and claims about the Quest 3, it was said to be inferior to the Vision Pro, but Meta claims that for its price, it can do what the Apple wearable does, without the need for all the fancy features it has.

Boz's latest March AMA revealed a lot about what to expect from Quest's future, especially with its new user interface, but reports claim it is similar to the Vision Pro, but in Meta's way.
