In the Spring of 2018, Michelin launched a new line of wiper blades, their "Storm Wipers," with a completely in-house commercial by producer Cory Carlick in Saskatchewan, Canada. Carlick handled the 3D animation, editing, and sound design and composed and produced the music for the commercial. To most, a simple two-minute advertisement is, to Carlick, a triumphant connection between a growing production company and the world's second-largest tire manufacturing company. For an industry that Carlick has been part of since sixteen, the project represented a significant feat of entrepreneurial talent.

Carlick's journey in the multimedia industry began when he was young, evolving into a refined skillset that sets him apart. A seasoned animator, well-versed in the intricacies of traditional, 3D, and character animation, as well as visual effects and digital set extensions. Fluent in both English and French, his bilingual proficiency has positioned him as a valuable contributor to French-language television in Québec, highlighting the breadth of his expertise.

As a young musician, a broadcaster in Ottawa discovered Carlick's online work, leading to him reaching out to Carlick. Besides Michelin, Carlick has worked with such household names as CBC Sports Television and Baskin Robbins Ice Cream. He has worked with music videos and has been profiled by CTV Ottawa for his work in music and public service campaigns.

Carlick also produced a sports series called GO/NITRO on behalf of Bell Media, a major Canadian media company that owns broadcasts such as CTV and TSN. The show is syndicated on multiple US television stations, including CBS and ABC affiliates. Skycron, where Carlick works, has a syndication division that maintains agreements with US broadcasting groups, which includes the major Sinclair Broadcast Group. These represent an ever-growing network of international connections for a Canadian production company and its producer and primary artistic leader.

Carlick's work will continue to make him a focal point for international media production. His Michelin commercial proclaimed the new Storm wiper blades launch at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo, putting his production front and center on a stage with international business implications. This places Carlick's work next to world-class productions from creators with more experience and expansive resources. Carlick's growth involves an ever-increasing number of business partners, and the shows and campaigns he produces extend further into the US and international markets; Carlick will bring opportunities and value to every new project he and Skycron undertake.

Beyond his animation and film background, Carlick's multifaceted expertise extends to corporate video credits, including projects for major clients like STARS Air Ambulance, Saskatchewan Health Authority, Nav Canada, and The Ottawa Hospital. His producer role at the CTV network further honed his skills, and with clients like Michelin, Carlick continues to focus on the future, solidifying his stellar reputation.
