Xbox Game Pass Will Say Goodbye to 6 Horror Games on April 15

Every month, Xbox treats its players with a selection of free games through Xbox Game Pass. However, this also means bidding farewell to some titles as new ones join the rotation.

For fans of hardcore horror titles, here are the games that Microsoft will remove soon as we brace for the arrival of Xbox Game Pass entry for April 2024.

*As we move toward April 15, we only have a little time left to enjoy some of the iconic horror games on Xbox Game Pass. There's nothing to worry about here since new titles are expected to come soon.*

Xbox Game Pass subscribers enjoy access to a vast library of games, with titles rotating in and out regularly. It's a normal scene for gamers testing out different titles.

Typically, older games are replaced by newer releases or smaller indie titles to keep the collection fresh.

This April, six games are set to leave Xbox Game Pass, including four highly popular horror titles and two indie games, according to The Sun. Among the departing horror games are four entries from Frictional Games, renowned for their Amnesia series and Soma.

Fans of horror gaming will bid adieu to three Amnesia titles: Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, and Amnesia: Rebirth, along with the critically acclaimed Soma. However, Amnesia: The Bunker will remain playable so there's nothing to worry about this one.

Adding to the horror genre exodus is the removal of the online survival horror game Back 4 Blood. Additionally, multiplayer titles Phantom Abyss and Research and Destroy are also on the departure list.

You Can Still Enjoy These Horror Games on Game Pass

Gamers have until April 15 to enjoy these departing titles on Xbox Game Pass, so there are less than two weeks left to play them for one last time.

Botany Manor (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) - April 9
Shadow of the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC) - April 11
Harold Halibut (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) - April 16
