Intel's top-of-the-line commercial CPU, the Core i9, is now facing massive issues as gamers report crashes when running various titles.

This was confirmed and acknowledged by Intel in a statement to ZDNet Korea, saying that the company is now investigating the problems that contribute to this problem and looking at whether it is only an isolated issue or a widespread one.

Currently, the company is analyzing the reported issues from its users, but it has not dropped specifics that point out the root.

Apparently, undemanding and other games are crashing, pointing to those running Epic Games' Unreal Engine like Fortnite, Hogwarts Legacy, Horizon: Zero Dawn, The Last of Us Part 1, and more.

What are the affected models, and is there a fix?

Two models reportedly face this issue, centering on the i9-13900K and the i9-14900K, but it may also affect the i9-13900KF, i914900KF, i9-13900KS, and i9-14900KS.

However, some claim that the i7-13700k and i7-14700K are also experiencing these issues.

For now, Intel is still looking into the issues to which it will provide fixes.

Intel's Core i-Series Chips and What it Offers

Intel's flagship chip platform, the Core i-Series, is known as the best chipset the Santa Clara-based chip manufacturer offers.

Last year's flagship was the Intel Core i9-13900K, and this year's was the Core i9-14900K. Both are regarded as the top-of-the-line of their respective years, offering the top capabilities and features of Intel's CPUs.

Earlier this CES 2024, Intel introduced its Core i9-14900 series, the company's 14th-gen CPU, offering the best of what it has to offer.

It features 24 cores at 65-watt or 35-watt levels. It also features its HX series processors alongside the regular releases, touted to be capable of handling massive processes and several AI capabilities for the modern world.

The Intel Core chips are best known for their reliability and computing power, and they can handle massive tasks, especially when talking about their top-of-the-line version, the Core i9.

However, it is facing an issue now, with gamers complaining massively about what is happening for both undemanding and demanding games, centered on titles using the Unreal Engine, with a fix coming from the company.
