The return of Fallout 4 is coming this month, and this is in celebration of the returning hype on the franchise thanks to the Amazon Prime Video series of the same name that dropped its episodes earlier this week.

Bethesda's massive treat for gamers now is a revamp to the 2015-released game, centering on a free update that will usher in new content, including its first arrival on Sony's PlayStation 5.

New content and experiences are in place for this massive return of Fallout 4 to the modern gaming world, promising significant features and content available from Bethesda.

Fallout 4 is Coming to the PS5 This April

The return to the Commonwealth is coming this April 25, with Bethesda announcing the new content and massive update for Fallout 4, with its first time arriving on the PS5. It will usher in an update for current copies on eligible platforms like the PS4, Xbox One, and PC while delivering new content and experiences to be available in-game.

These massive experiences are coming despite the game already nearing a decade old since it was first released in 2015, with Bethesda promising a free update for the players to enjoy in their return to the Wasteland.

What to Expect from Fallout 4's New Content

Bethesda promised that these latest add-ons to Fallout 4, like enhancements for PC and modern-gen consoles, alongside Creation Club items (from previous releases), Enclave Remnants, a new Makeshift Weapon Pack, and Halloween Workshop, would be available without additional cost.

However, these are only available for users who own a copy of the game. This means that users should have bought the game for previous-gen consoles and modern-gen platforms to get these new updates by April 25.

Bethesda and the Fallout Franchise

Bethesda is known for massive franchises in the gaming industry, and one of them was their acquisition of Fallout when they took it over from its creator, Tim Cain.

Despite heading over to a game company, Cain praised Bethesda for what it did for the franchise, giving it justice and significant developments for the Fallout series, but wants more modding to take place for his games.

The last mainline release of the series was Fallout 4, and it was one widely celebrated game that focused on new experiences for the title, offering more mods for gamers.

However, the side story release known as Fallout 76 is widely considered a bigger release compared to the canon game, with 76 featuring significant online experiences and four times the map of Fallout 4.

Fallout's renowned franchise may not have been as active with its releases lately, but there are still plans to bring the sequel to its mainline releases, with Fallout 5 already under development.

However, before that arrives, this may be the perfect opportunity for gamers to brush up on the last canon game, with Bethesda bringing forth the new content-filled and improved version of Fallout 4, also coming soon to the PS5.
