A new development behind Electronic Arts's in-development game, Marvel's Black Panther, points out the game's setup as an open world.

However, it is still unknown what the game would offer the world, but being an open world means that gamers would be awaiting a massive experience, one that could possibly deliver a Wakanda exploration in-game.

This follows last year's announcement of the game, which will be released alongside another Marvel development for EA: the single-player story of Iron Man

A new job listing from Electronic Arts is looking for a "Principal Sandbox Designer" for Cliffhanger Games, with the description specifically mentioning Marvel's Black Panther game as its focus.

This will be the first game the job will focus on, with future sandbox experiences to be part of their work with Cliffhanger.

That being said, the listing further said that the applicant would be responsible for developing "a rich, sandbox environment," this points out that Black Panther is an open-world game.

The rich lore and massive world of Black Panther center on the Kingdom of Wakanda, best known as a secluded nation that hides its technological advancements and massive vibranium supply.

Before this listing, EA had not disclosed any massive information about Black Panther, only that it was in early development under Cliffhanger Games.

Is the Black Panther Game release date still far away?

To date, EA and Cliffhanger Games have not yet mentioned any release windows for the Black Panther game, and last year's confirmation claimed that it was still in early development.

This means that the game is still far from its release, and since it is now an open world, it may take a long time before it is made available.

Marvel's Upcoming Games

There will be a plethora of new Marvel games in the future, with massive developments revealed by developers and publishers soon, expanding more of its gaming offerings to the world.

One of the top touted developments was the 2022-announced Marvel's Iron Man, a game that will center on a single-player setup diving deep into the hero's story.

Additionally, another game announced almost two years ago at the D23 Expo revealed the previously-unnamed Marvel 1943: The Rise of Hydra from Skydance New Media.

Late last year, a new game from Arkane, Bethesda Softworks, and Xbox announced Marvel's Blade, centering on the famed "Daywalker" and his adventures as a vampire hunter.

Other developments include the future of Marvel's Spider-Man games and Marvel's Wolverine game from Insomniac under Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Marvel's future in the gaming world is massive, combined with the latest report behind EA's Black Panther game set to be an open-world, focusing on the protector of Wakanda's adventures and trials.
